I´ve been to Paris twice, the last time was last year. I wouldn´t worry about Parisians being rude. There´s alot of tourists out there and in touristy places, its more likely you interact with other tourists than locals. If you have google maps on your phone, you won´t even have to ask for help. Not all French are bad fyi, in the south for instance, they can be quite friendly.

I don´t know about magic in the air but pop culture was pretty awesome. TV, movies and music were just amazing.

Season 8 is actually not that bad. There´s a few good episodes. Really liked the episodes, Roadrunners and Invocation. I hated 9 though.

Look up Harmy´s despecialized Star Wars trilogy. They´ve been around for a long time, I believe he went to painstaking efforts to put all the various footage together from every release so that the picture quality is good but it remains as faithful to the original theatrical cut as possible. You can pretty much find them on any torrent site.
The prequels were poorly written as far as canon is concerned, we have to put it down to a huge coincidence that both Leia´s mothers died before she was old enough to remember them...

Yeah I get all that, Im not a filmmaker, so I don´t tend to focus that much on film-making techniques or cinematography. I just appreciate a film that has an entertaining story and a good script.
I have the exact opposite opinion of Citizen Kane. I found the film boring. Never quite understood why its considered the greatest film ever made. Id take a bunch of films from that era over Citizen Kane including this one.
It is a great film. No doubt about it. I was never a fan of Bogie movies but he was brilliant in this.
