Why is it not what you expected? Please tell us
Thanks, good to know that it would have definitely escaped the average viewer (which I am, LOL)
No movie should ever be a hallucination really, I'm getting so sick of it
The tone of the movie was like an after-school special. The movie could have been over in 30 minutes: Once the wannabe gangster boy tries to get his drugs back, his head would have been blown off or at the very least pistol whipped, and then the other gringos would have known that shit is for real.
Explain how you arrived at them sharing the same consciousness "immediately" since it seems to be so unclear for the rest of us lol
Suspension of disbelief. (lmao)
Good questions in all honesty.
I think you gotta supply your own logic to this one.
We clearly see that when one is active, the other is in a comatose state. Thus, it makes the most sense that they can't be aware of what the other is doing.
You could easily read it as something something "you are your own worst enemy" especially as it relates to women and beauty standards. You could also say "women are always pit against each other, even direct clones" lol. I'm not saying these are great explanations, but it gets your wheels turning. I do agree with you that it's weird that older Demi feels so upset when she sees her Substance self, to the point that she chooses self-sabotage but again... maybe the point here.
The wife wasn't rich, her dad was. That's why he hatched the whole scheme, so the dad would have to dig in his pockets to come up with the money....
I'm not sure why you think the wife could just cut him a blank check? She seems to be Suzie Homemaker, being supported both by her husband and father, with little money (if any) of her own.
There were plenty of loud noises designed to make you jump. For example, when we see the first doll, the doll opens its eyes punctuated by a loud screech designed to make you jump lol
Omg. That just broke the movie for me, good catch.
