“4. The cheesy dancing, especially at the end credits.” That’s the best part off these schlocky 60’s movies! That’s how I was introduced to this movie. Also, in the footage from the morning of the massacre, you can hear Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory playing in the background. In what universe are you living where people under 40 are unfamiliar with the music and popularity of the Beatles?! Even if you’ve never actively seeked out their music, it’s impossible to not be familiar with a least a few of their songs. Rape is about sadism and hostility. Easy access has little to nothing to do with it. Definitely in my top 10 I’m just now finding out! I always thought he was so good looking and down to earth. I admire his love of horses. Rest In Peace, Tab. Agreed! Definitely a hidden gem. Agreed. That one just slipped my mind. Thanks! I’ll have to check your list out. I’d also add 13 Ghosts (1960) and Burnt Offerings. Just watched The New Exhibit. It deserves a spot on the list. Not exactly sure what you mean by a TZ vibe since the tone varies by episode but these are some old black and white paranormal/sci-fi movies: The Day the Earth Stood Still The Innocents The Uninvited Scream of Fear Portrait of Dorian Gray Portrait of Jennie Rebecca The Ghost and Mrs. Muir The Search for Bridey Murphy Long Distance Call should be on there. The Fever used to creep me out but I haven’t watched that one in quite a few years. Roseanne was the star in the original but she has been the weak link in the reboot. She delivers her lines as if reading from a script. The rest of the cast could carry the show on their own, but then they’d have to kill off the Roseanne character and that would just be too heavy even for this show. It’d be nice if they could carry on like she never existed, but the show was always known for its realism. I was hoping to see more David and Bev. :-( Poor Doug? Carrie was way out of his league throughout the whole show. A guy that looks like him would never land a woman who looks like Carrie in real life. The pairing on this show is just wish fulfillment for unattractive guys like the OP. I just watched an interview with Alicia Goranson where she says they shot an episode that revolves around Mark’s death, so that’s comforting. It was bizarre hearing Roseanne complain about how modern parents don’t spank their kids when it was made clear she was against spanking in the original series. She was so guilty after spanking DJ once and didn’t want to be like her dad. It was awkwardly worded, but I think that was intended for newer audiences who haven’t seen the original series. I also hope they give a further explanation about Mark’s death. It seemed perfectly natural. A lot of times it’s hard to know what to say to someone who’s upset, especially your child. Regarding Becky, it’s common for people who are self-absorbed in their teens to remain that way for a lifetime. I always thought Sarah Chalke was awkward as Becky and didn’t fit into the family the way Alicia Goranson always did. I thought Alicia reprised her role nicely. I also would like to see more of DJ. But I guess it depends on the actor’s priorities. Probably as much as a 42 year old slightly obese recently divorced man enjoys porn or a trip to the strip club. Everyone has sexual fantasies. But no one implies that men having sexual fantasies is some sort of pathological sickness. Women having sexual fantasies is normal and healthy, regardless of weight and relationship status.
