I don’t think the reasons behind the Jonestown events are easy to grasp for those who haven’t done the research. I think a documentary centering content from the hundreds of FBI tapes would be a good idea. Lots of juicy, fascinating content on those tapes, yet they’re so underutilized in Jonestown documentaries.
This thread really didn’t age well. Last I checked, the Menendez series held the #1 and #3 spots on Netflix.

Her husband is 100x worse as a person and father. But I wouldn’t expect a misogynist to acknowledge that.
I was shocked when I saw the 7.6 rating on IMDB. Definitely wouldn’t watch again.
….and no way would Kris Marshall (or any man) step into a bar and be immediately pawed at by three beautiful women who want to take him home for a foursome.
It’s impressive that they managed to accomplish what other modern movies fail at time and time again with creating a genuine and stunning 60’s aesthetic with the film style along with the clothes/makeup/hair. But it’s wasted on a sh!t screenplay and bad acting.
WTF is this article…

WTAF. It looks almost like a scene-by-scene remake of the original, just a slight change here and there and cringe AF. Hollywood is done.
A movie with a similar vibe I’d recommend is Sooner Or Later from 1979. It has the dreamy Rex Smith and is very good for a made-for-TV movie.
The pop songs are really cringe, but I don’t understand using the term ‘dated’ as a criticism. Almost every piece of pop culture is or will be dated and distinctly of its time. ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ has a distinct 80’s sound, but it’s still good.
