I think it was a cool idea. Plus it plays a role in anchoring it in the 70s the same way the first one was quintessentially a movie reflecting the birth of the film industry.

I know I think it is a Hilarious that they really play up how terrible she was on the show. I saw the original scene it she is perfectly adequate. on the show they actually said that she could ruin the movie ha ha
