Funny, I like the extended version of Hateful Eight.
And it took me a while but I think Inglourius Basterds was fun.

I think the two characters are actually pretty good, but the plots and scenes are ridiculous.
The absurdity of the plots force the series to be about their relationship.

Also they meet the two other Smiths and just open right up to them, not to
mention Mr. keeps in contact with his mother.

The movie, I think, did not want to be just one thing, like most movies
today that try to appeal to all kinds of audiences and have multiple
threads and plot twists, but in the case of Starship Troopers, to me,
I think it worked.
I kind of like Scarlett, or Charlise, or Barbara Eden in her day, or Linda Evans.
All I can think of now is blondish types, I don't know why, but they are not my
favorites.

It was the US who invaded when you consider we couped the government of Ukraine
and put American puppets in charge. Then they began provoking Russia. Russia saw
they were going to go after Crimea so they took steps to hold on to it, like the US would
take steps to hold on to Hawaii, or better analogy would be Guantanamo.
Who cares if Russia has Crimea or not. Clearly the government of Ukraine was doing
nothing for the mostly Russian population there - not being served or defended, and
same with Donbas.

way back, you could almost say as far back as the Cold War. Now it is a real mess.
No President can be honest and open to the American people about this war so it
will go on. I'm against it, but Trump would not get Americans out of Afghanistan
and had to leave that to Biden.
More of a chance that Kamala will wind it down than Trump.

The reviews and reactions after a movie comes out are all to push sales - even if the movie is total crap.
I believe I can tell from the trailer that this is a dog made for money. Trailer looked like trash. Trailer trash?

I don't usually agree with Tarantino, but he is right. Clooney has been in a series of unremarkable what used to be TV movies of the week. They are horrible, or just bearable, and they are pushed by the media because of Clooney's PR and political connections. Since I found out Clooney's wife actually works for Hamas, or the Hamas funding part of the UN, UNRWA the guy is on my no-watch list.
To my recollection only Up In The Air was new and fresh, but still was a small movie.
I would not watch a Clooney movie at this point if you paid me.

I liked Rome, and look back on it fondly.
Those About To Die was looking back, too gruesome and inhuman.
I hope they do not do another season of it. It was revolting.
Neither series paid much attention to history, and though the
special effects were very good I wish I had not watched it.
Rome was sort of a sentimental look back on the Roman Empire,
a story most of us know, but TATD was so loosely based on
anything, and the plot so dark and deliberately horrible I don't
think I would tell anyone it was worth watching.
If you remember Ramsay Bolton from Games Of Thrones,
Those About To Die is like all the scenes with him in it without
anything else. If that is how history was - it is best forgotten.
