Trolls and miscreants of all kinds ruined IMDB for all of us. They will always try to find a way to annoy people. Look at social media, or You-Tube. Comments are worth something, if only to the person who wrote them, but some IMDB people made some very intelligent comments and critiques of movies. They pay critics a lot of money to critique a movie or TV show, and the IMDB people are not beholden to the movie industry.
But yeah, a lot of things people do online are pretty pathetic. ;-)
There needs to be some way to patrol, find and censor the troublemakers or people who do not know how to behave in public or be polite. It is more and more common these days. A lot of people are socialized by TV or the Internet.
It's cool how when you make a post here the color changes.
If on IMDB someone had a friend, and got to know them outside of IMDB, and then hooked up with that same person's name on MovieChat, but it was not the same person, that could lead to problems, as well as taking someone else's name and claiming authorship of all their comments.
I guess this is best most fair thing they can do.
I guess that makes sense, because knowingly or unknowingly someone could impersonate someone else and it could lead to trouble or mischief.
I love Homeland. I like it because the seasons are so different. I think the last one was the best ... I am still freaked out by the inside look at the Presidency not done in a West Wingy kind of way.
I bet that was at least a big part of it.
TV producers feeling the heat about their incompetence, and how
most TV shows and movie rely on the same idiotic plots and devices.
Like in the Walking Dead, or anything else for example, how the camera
is on someone, and then someone else appears out of nowhere right
next to them. Like they could be right next to them or have walked up
and not made any noise ... they do this over and over.
Movies and TV have to get better, but they just want to go on automatic,
sell the same old boring stuff and make more money.
