Love it. Easily one of my favorite animated superhero films.
Yeah I’m pretty sure that this is in a continuity separate from First Flight.
Indeed.
I agree completely.
You’re right, this short is very similar to that episode.
From what I recall, the ending made a little more sense in the original comic story this was based on.
Yeah I really enjoyed that too.
I don’t think it was ever supposed to be entirely accurate to the source material. Plus, they had to condense the story into an hour and a half movie.
But, the two-part Death and Return of Superman animated movie fixes most of these “problems”. So at least we do have a more faithful adaption now. I still like this one though too.
In my opinion, Hal Jordan. But John Stewart is a close second.
Well said. I would like to check out the original comic it’s based on as well.
Yeah that’s what I thought. Bummer.
Yeah that’s actually very true.
Interesting. I look forward to seeing him further develop his version of the character.
I hope you’re right. I would love for a properly done Mr. Freeze to be the main villain in this movie.
Otis, as in the character played by Ned Beatty in the first two Christopher Reeve Superman films?
I would say Captain Marvel (aka Shazam), who I think was only in one episode.
It was also great to see Hal Jordan, extremely brief as it was. I wish he could have had a bigger part.
Finally! I really want to see him battle The Hulk though.
I suppose that could work.
I feel like Hush would be too similar to the way they did The Riddler in the last movie. Ventriloquist could be cool as a secondary or side villain, but probably not the main antagonist.
I would love to see a properly done live action Mr. Freeze as a serious and tragic character, just like in the 90’s animated series.
I thought the 2005 film and its sequel were pretty dumb but still kind of fun. The cast was pretty spot on for the most part, especially Michael Chiklis as The Thing and Chris Evans as Human Torch. They nailed it.
And I’d rather watch both of those silly cheesefests than the dreadfully boring and depressing 2015 version any day.
