Superman and Batman being best friends made me happy. I'm not sure why I just thought it was really cool.

Throughout the years, they've each said of the other that there's not a man they trust more. I mean, Superman gave Batman kryptonite because he knew that he would have the wisdom to know when to use it, but also wouldn't hesitate. So, while they might not be buddy-buddy best friends, they definitely have a great respect for each other.
shareI grew up reading the World's Finest comics in the 70's, so this is nothing new to me. I always liked them being friends, my favorites were when they retconed their friendship and showed them both as teens. They would find the weirdest ways to protect their secret identities.

I hnow I'm late to the party but the Superfiends were Supes, Bats, Robin, Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman. The team of Supes and Bats are referred to as the World's Finest although they're not really an official team.
