That’s such a great scene with excellent suspense and atmosphere. It’s by far one of the best parts of the movie.
Yeah, true.
I hope not because I despise story arcs like that. I loathe it when the writers kill off a hero or make them evil or a slave.
Well yeah, actually she’s in it quite a bit too and does get a lot of focus also. She might have almost just as much screen time as Winona.
She’s the lead and easily has more screen time than any other character in the movie.
Yeah, I was also pretty disappointed that she wasn’t given much to do since she had lots of potential and could have easily been the most interesting of the new characters.
That may be a little, um, hard to pull off…
Exactly.
I agree, this movie is great and doesn’t get talked about nearly enough.
I used to dislike this movie but it’s grown on me a bit over the years, mostly for the same reasons you already listed. It’s very flawed for sure but there are quite a few things I actually enjoy about it.
I own the posters for the first movie and Part 8.
You might be right. If so, I wonder if the footage still exists somewhere.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that scene was ever actually filmed, just story boarded. Would be really cool to see though.
And also, how the heck did he move her body from her house all the way back to his shack in the woods without anyone noticing?
That actually happened in the original comics that this movie was loosely based on.
I don’t think Bob or the other family members actually saw Jack Jack using his powers at the end of the first film. They just noted that something weird was happening. But Jack Jack and Syndrome were way too high up in the sky for them to see exactly what was going on.
There are a few other movie sequels that do the same thing. Like Terminator 2, for example. The title drops the “The” from the original film.
I think he probably just found their house somehow, looking for them, then quickly discovered that they had a third kid. Then that became his new agenda for revenge.
There’s even a deleted scene on the DVD which pretty much depicts this. He shows up at the Parr residence and meets that girl who is watching Jack Jack. She asks him what the “S” stands for and he says it stands for “sitter”.
Hmm… good point. Well in that case The Lion King may technically be better. I still enjoy Aladdin more though.
