Show respect to them pregnant males, yo... The music was composed by OMD members Martin Cooper and Dave Hughes. Since OMD are one of the great, influential synthesizer acts of the later 20th century (yes, American friends, they go way deeper than "If You Leave"), I downloaded the soundtrack and thought it was tremendous. Moody, mid-80s electronics from two talented musical minds. The film itself came later for me. By then the music was too embedded in my mind as the definitive document of C.H.U.D., to not fit the movie. Pugsley drank out of the toilet bowl and nibbled on Matt's toes. A couple days later Sara returned home and gave the little fella a proper feed. I prefer T1 for its claustrophobic atmosphere, but its practical effects look very dated now. I can imagine they turn off younger viewers. T2, on the other hand, looks seamless 30+ years later. Agreed. "Strong female" blah, prevailed at the academy. Macy was miles better, as was Buscemi. 'Fahrenheit 11/9' has 82% and is described as "a political call to action that ranks among [Moore's] most effective works." As an anti-Trump film, it was never going to be anything but acclaimed. Just filling in the blanks. I think the line was "It may be yella but it's still a dick". Being great was like breathing for Oldman from the early 80s to the mid 90s. He's been great a handful of times times since then, but for the most part he's a caricature of himself a la Walken. After he got clean things just weren't the same. 1. The Terminator. End. T2 is a fun, non-canon bonus title that craps all over the in-universe rules established by T1. Everything else is truly egregious. The "mytharc" has been rendered worthless: it's all about the "Monster-of-the-Week" episodes. Several of them stand up really well as short(-ish) films. Glad she saved her money. Pretty sure her public profile declined at some point, though. Pretty sure Furlong's character *was* reading. The narration is the essay he's written for Dr Sweeney. Mainstream film was always a power struggle between the artists and the suits. At some point in the last 20 years the suits pulled ahead and flooded cinemas with sterile vehicles focused only on the bottom line. Netflix at least offers some hope. Indeed. Assault and parole violation, although he remains a fugitive, IIRC. Reaction formation 101. Condemn every silly little thing as "racist" in order to hide your own discomfort with being around people who don't look like you. The rest of us are busy just living our lives. The book was indulgent tosh that crapped all over one of the greatest, most strong-willed heroines of modern literature and film. Starling risked it all to take down Gumb... then ended up in a relationship with another extreme anti-social personality? Nah. Foster and Hopkins hated it, and I'm right there with them. Okie dokie. Again, I'm in good company with the "stupid" Roger Ebert. He didn't get it either. It happens. As a kid I thought Hulk Hogan was black, due to his outrageous sunbed (ab)use. Ironically, he was later caught dropping n-bombs on tape. The Thing and Alien are classics. Highlander is fun. Van Damme seems committed to making unwatchable movies, but maybe Bloodsport is better - I'll check it out. I just never crossed paths with Predator as a kid, and actively avoided it as an adult because the reviews were horrible. I understand it's been reappraised as something of a classic in recent years.
