In a 2014 Playboy interview, Oldman referred to Hollywood as "a town that's run by Jews", and was branded "anti-Semitic" by insane leftists. Even if you want to put it down to pure talent, Jews do run Hollywood: https://www.timesofisrael.com/who-said-jews-run-hollywood/
The deranged mob picked out other quotes in a desperate attempt to frame Oldman as "racist", "homophobic" and "misogynist". Their crusade failed.
What an absurd thread. These constant nominations indicate the Academy's undying LOVE for Streep. Alan Rickman, unquestionably a genius actor, died without receiving a single nod because he didn't have the right industry sycophants. The likes of Donald Sutherland, Steve Buscemi and Kevin Bacon are headed the same way, sadly.
Oh, and having an Oscar count surpassed only by Katharine Hepburn sure indicates "hate" on the Academy's part...
The Terminator had superhuman intelligence, and dedicated every second of every day to finding Sarah. It was a supremely efficient stalker, unsusceptible to fatigue, hunger or procrastination. I have to believe it had a good chance of finding Sarah, wherever she went.
The line was a joke. Banter between a couple regular fellas... or so he thought.
I don't think Oldman's performance in Leon/The Professional is even close to being his best, but every film buff I know thinks it is. Stansfield is a widely loved villain, and those of us who don't adore him seem to be in the minority. That said, Oldman does deliver a few really good, quotable lines in the film.
