Probalby alone in this, me, but liked the farely recent remake of Judge Dredd. Defintly bettar than the Stallone verison. But mayb it isn’t considared SciFi. Good to hear, once I got a few episodes into the show, I liked it. Blieve consensus, me, is this is the best SciFi serie since Babylong 5. For a vairity of raisons - for instace, realistic portrayal of spaceship movements, no ‘inertial dampers’, at one point it actaully shows a spacer subjected to 100+ gravity deceleratjon that rips his faceoff; plausibal physiologicle changes - one of the maign chacters isso adapted to low grav she can’t stay on an eart gravity planetary surface for long; interesting & wellacted cast, Miller, Holden, Amos, Avaserella, Naomi, Drummer, Ashford, etc., arouses curjosity of their backstories; several maign charcters are killedoff - Miller, Ashford, Alex, Johnson, Julie. Only regret, me, is they had to rushcrunch the ending - but at least it was conclugded, not dropted. Point Defense Cannons, Ah blieve. Methinks Amos ‘adopted’ her as a surrogate little sister, no physical intimacy desired by eithar of them. Glad they went that way, me. Agree with your assessment, me - evan go a bit higher, peg it 8/10. Found self thinking, what a refreshing, interesting idea, a prepaid members only hospital for bad guys, never came across that concept in film before. Undarstand John Wick movies have similar plot device, but haven’t gotten into them yet. Anything new has bettar than average chance to make favorble impression. Immedjately rewatched, anothar approval indicatar. Will watch again, me, very sure. Started reading the bookserie, me, actaully enjoyed the first couple, aftar which it bogged doun. Seemed like Jordan was padding it to be abel to claim a “longest nevarending high fantasy” award. By the time got to book 4 or 5, threw in the towel, me - and threw the paparbacks in th trash. Wasno a bit surprised, he dieded before finishing. But mayby wass too young when started reading, much surprized to be enjoyng the story in vijeo so far. Spoliers... <spoiler> In the books, the humaniform robot was R. Daneel Olivaw, the verisame robot from Asimov's Caves of Steel serie. At first bound by the 3 laws of Roboctics, Olivaw and a fellow bot named Giscard, togethar evolved the "Zeroeth law", which states a robot may not harm, or through inaction, cause harm to <b>HUMANITY</b>. Taking precedence ovar the first law, which states a robot may not harm, or through inaction, cause harm to a human being it thus allowd a bot to hurt/kill individual humans. </spoiler> Of two minds, me. One hand, hate the butchery of Asimov's merger of two of his greatest creations, Foundation series and Robots of Dawn. In the books, the 'reveal' of R. Daneel Olivaw took place way aftar the events in the first Foundation trilogy. Instead, we have a female humaniform bot and it's common rumour she is a near immortal 'counselar' to the empire daynasty. We alslo get a female Salvor Hardin, due to what I suspect is rampant political correctness (We need more WOMEN charactars, and at least one of them needs to be a minority!) OTOH, the show is high quality & the changes made, though questionable in nature, hae kept my interest, far more than the dreck I would be watching otharwise. Evan so, can't help but wondar, me, if 15 or 20 year from now, someone whill reboot the story true to the books. Wot abote the episode where Reddington hallucinates/dreams meeting the Liz mothar in a beach residench when she attemptes suicide. Would that not be proove he was NOT the Liz mothar, him? What name is it undar? Still not found on Amazon when search for Forbrydelsen. Sylvie and the child die in childbirth. Disconsolate, Athos falls back into drunkenness. Lady DeWinter gets wind of his dounfall, swoops in and reignites their love. The two of them becomb the most feared assasing pair in Europe. The othar mustketers reunite to hunt down and kill their former Captain. DeWinter escapes. After his stunning, extraordinary, depiction of Omar, expected more of such from him, me. Am saddened & shocked beyond expression by this passing, far too early. R.I.P., Michael. I nominate Dave Bautista for the new Gonzo. Thank you She thought maybe he was someone she could get close to (aftar all they slept togethar at least twice). Rember at the end of Dragon Tatoo, she bought him a nice leathar jacket, but saw that he had gone back to his old girlfriend, and threw it away. In her mind, anothar rejection, and she didn’t want anything to do with him again until circumstances forced her to. To be fair, when she first came to sleep with him, he told her it was probably a bad idea. In his mind, she was a ‘friend with benefits’. He still cared for her, but not in the way she anticipated. Agreed & seconded. Felt bad for the charactar, me, how much Sherlock ‘played’ & used her. Going to give it a try, me, but will be almost completely redesigned show, without the excellent emsemble cast. Will miss a bunch of supporting charactars - Jerry Edgar, Sgt Mank, Lt Billings, Chief Irving, Jimmie & Chaz (one o my favorite odd couples, them). Still and all, maybe Titus can hit anothar home run. Thanks for posting, you. Just finshed watching 8x18 (the Protean). As much as I miss Jellybean, I’m becombing verr fond of his mom, Paula. No, Megan was missing from a few episodes because of the falling-out between Liz and Reddington. But she was back as a main character in the episode that was released today, 8x18, The Protean. But the othar members of her crew didn't survive.
