The early scenes with the mysterious voice and the big creature were the best to me, ENEMY from 2013 anyone, but it soon turned into another clichéd Hollywood drama.
And she was 86 here! :o Impressive to say the least.
All British zombie films are bound to be compared to Shaun of the dead.
The movie was not about the overtaking, that has already been handled in other movies. It is a zombie comedy about these characters trying to survive.
I just saw it and it is a bit too much Hollywood melodrama but is also uplifting (and well played!)
Agreed, for fans of silly humour it is fun. Turn off your brain and laugh.
Fritz Lang's M is up there too from what I can remember. Smoke in every frame.
It is the current feminist attitude: all Johns are seen as monsters.
What was that with the murderer's male colleague that he wanted to bring for a photo shoot? Was he interested in guys too?
I thought of her too but my reference point was Exorcism of Emily Rose.
Who can forget the "Is anybody in there!" scene.
The Shining (wasn't Redrum shown somewhere?) and Nosferatu.
And the subtitles said "Speaking foreign language"...cheat.
I guess Susana's deteriorating mind is the way to explain it.
And would the parents let the kids out to roam freely?
Agreed, it ruined it somewhat. How many serial killers are like that? Killers are probably like most people, that's why they are hard to catch.
Agreed, I mean how often do you see such body parts out there...
So ALL of the scenes are fake?
The Peasants (2023)
Agreed, the director was patient enough to skip the usual scary tropes and the mystery was well thought out.
