Agreed hehe, it is not like future time travellers would be left alone if they were to be discovered. They better be careful. Fans of Jules and Jim perhaps? :-) Dahmer is more stylish and this one is more straightforward. My first thought was the subway driver telling her that he feared that one day he would see somebody jumping in front of the train...but it is open ended of course so who knows. The cinematography and sets are dazzling here but the script could have been better, not to mention the use of music. Agreed (and I wonder how scared I would have been had I seen it as a kid) Sleepy Hollow Agreed, excellent horror comedy. It is a tight movie that manages to cram many different themes into the story without feeling overstuffed. It takes skill. I have watched three movies in the same vein this past week: BBM, H.O.T.S. and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry and this one might be the best of them, even if it is not saying much. They went high on the slapstick in this. I must disagree, the melodrama was increased in this one and it didn't have many surprises to offer (I have not seen the manga btw) It is on youtube now. Not really woke. It deals with exploiting women but not in a forced way. This is a strong prequel. I didn't know the story beforehand and it turned out to be very gripping. It was wise not to reveal the ending too soon. And what a perfect story for a movie 👍 Born To Win had more of a French New Wave vibe to it. Good review. It made me so excited to go visit Hamburg. I didn't see anything of Henry Hill in Depp's performance. Can you see Depp as Whitey in the "How am I funny" scene? He almost looked scarier here than in Nightmare On Elm Street. Exactly! Was that really common belief back then?
