@phantom8 He/she can be vile! I want that bell notification off my list. Every time I check the list I see the lewd word. I think I'm going to delete my posts in order to attempt a remedy. Can you instruct me on how to delete a bell notification? I replied about the lewd post...someone replied to my reply....therefore the OP title is in the notification. @Cat Not to e-mail. I don't have mine listed. It's on the bell notifications. It's so damn ugly! @Cat I'm currently logged in, checked my Notifications, and his damn post title is still showing! I can't get rid of the thing! @phantom8 Check your Notifications. I put him on Ignore, but when I replied with disgust, someone made a reply to my reply which alerted the bell. His/her lewd post still shows the lewd OP language in my Notifications. If I click on it...there's Wilson's original lewd OP. It never ends! Edited @Catbookss Cat, I can't get rid of Wilson! I have put him on ignore over 5 times, but he keeps showing up like a bad penney! This last lewd post of his went over the line! His OP is listed in my Notifications due to my reply to the post. How do I delete it? If I click on it, here's Wilson again! It shows up in my History on my IPad which I delete, but it's an endless loop as long as the Notification appears. @CactusPants As per you:"But spade is 100% a racial slur and I wouldn't use it." Without a doubt your brain is missing some of those "little gray cells"(Poirot). I would say one meg ohm from ear to ear! Even though Dazed quoted an article explaining the phrase "to call a spade a spade" you refuse to accept it! The word "niggardly has been explained, but that also is not to be accepted by you. You know, CactusPants, sometimes a ♠️ is just a ♠️! How about "to call a club a club"....both suits are black? @Cat Did your bell ring from me, also? @cat Just to let you know, most of your posts have disappeared on my end. It seems to be tied to god's op about trolls. I refuse to uppercase his ID "Of Human Bondage" 1964 @Dazed: Yea! Ditto! Right On! Couldn't have said it better!🤗 @Cat Don't you hate it when some synonyms of words seem to actually be insulting, but others seem to be OK? Such as OFFICIOUS:Self-important (Not nice) Overzealous (OK! I was overzealous when working outside the home) Opinionated (OK I guess. You seem to be. I know I am) I'm a Type A personality! How about assertive!? @Cat Sorry! I was referring to my defense post! @ Cat Read my last post! @CactusPants @Wilson @Anyone this pertains to Let me preface this with it's a given Catbookss can fend for herself. But, I have to step in and give my two cents worth. I've known Cat for about a year. We've had some fairly heated discussions to the point I would cease replying to her. So, read me clearly. Cat is the last person who would ban or call for a ban of someone! She took shots at IMDB which were unforgivable. The foul, vile language thrown at her was shocking. All due to the fact she would not think like them. Agree with them...whatever! Did she ask for a ban? No! Did she report them? No! In fact I can't recall when she put someone on Ignore. I won't swear to it, but we exchanged PM's and I'm fairly certain she would mention if she had done so. She damn sure wouldn't call for a ban on someone for swearing! She's accepting, but like a cat, don't back her into a corner! She's assertive and she stands her ground. She has an uncanny recall ability. Why you all have made it your mission to target and besmirch her is beyond me. And, Wilson, get off the spade ♠️ kick! Because sometimes a ♠️ is just a ♠️! I'm aware I'm going to take a hit for this, so folks give it your best shot! @CactusPants If you're replying to me....if not....just throw me aside! As to your query of do I get offended if someone says "f-ing". Yes, most certainly! If it's a conversation between just the two of us, I politely ask him/her not to use that word. If in a group of mixed company, I quietly make an excuse (potty break) and exit. I don't wish to embarrass the person. I don't need to as they've embarrassed themselves by using the foul language. @Wilson As per you:"I'd even say one has to opt in for the profanity, have it family friendly by default." I like your idea even better, but was fearful to suggest it. Too controlling some would say. We must not infringe on free speech. "I am woman/man! Hear me roar profanities!" @CactusPants You swear using profane words. I suppose it's something to be proud of.... Apparently you & Wilson missed my suggestion of the site having a profanity filter which can be turned OFF for those of you that are absolutely unable to converse without profanity. I in turn can turn ON the filter to bleep out the profanity. And, please you all, I'm not trying to control you. You can do/speak/write anyway/anyhow you choose. My choice is not to follow suit which would consist of "bleep" or ignore. Not ban! @Wilson Who said anything about banning? Not I.....
