I'm definitely an IMDB member. Have been since 2007. And, why are you the way you are? Throwing the query back to you! If you are referring about the gossip mongering, I can't help you there. It seems these message boards have become a cesspool of naysayers. Akin to a neighborhood with cliques. Several getting together, tongues start wagging, because a new person has moved into the neighborhood. "She/he is not very friendly. She/he keeps to herself/himself. I wonder what she/he is up to? Very suspicious if you ask me." After that folks who would not necessarily be guilty of gossip gets sucked into the cesspool. And, these are the ones who were so nice to the newcomer! Strange, isn't it how the pack mentality works with humans, also.
Oh, believe what you will. As stated, today is the first day back to this thread. Why should I return? When I made my comment the thread was fairly new. Little did I know I was setting off a firestorm! I chastised the poster and left.

Surprise! You do know me. We've engaged in pleasantries recently. You folks shouldn't jump to conclusions and gossip about someone you don't know. In fact, you shouldn't gossip at all....Woodstock!

Why suspicious? Just because I chastised a foul-mouthed poster and left the thread? I don't accept the vile language used. That's all...nothing more. I felt when reading his/her post why waste my time? I'll leave and go to more pleasant boards. And, I was correct in my choice. Just read the shallow comments made about my reply and decision to leave.

As I replied to Apis, you don't know me. I choose not to engage in profane language. My comment was directed to the poster who chose to lace his/her comment with profanity. You folks stuck your noses into a reply which didn't concern you. Please respect my choice. I also did not state I was leaving the site...just the thread. How shallow, and also childish it was to deride me for my comment. If this is all you had to comment about, then nothing was to be learned from this thread. I made the correct decision to leave. So, back to the more informative (not gossipy) sites I shall return.

If you were referring to me, you couldn't have it more wrong. Someone posts a comment and doesn't follow-up with further replies is....OMG....a troll or a sock, whatever that means. I don't recall stating I was leaving MovieChat, just this thread. You and those that follow don't know me. Yes, I was greatly offended by that poster's remarks and I had a right to say so. If you accept comments such as those that is your choice, but I don't accept profane language. Today I happened upon this thread again and after reading the replies made against my statement, I know I made the correct decision.
I just joined, but due to your childish post, I'm calling it quits....all within five minutes.
