Are you 12? Maybe English is not your 1st language? Honestly, I'm lost. Why would anyone put a link to the same thread they're commenting on? You do know how to insert quotes, yes? Even though there's no need to quote when we have the ability to scroll up and read, lol. If you're looking for an answer, just to justify your existence, then I'll give you my opinion. As long as both parties are of legal age and are happy together, there is no such thing as appropriate or inappropriate.
And quit saying "fag"--that's such an outdated term.
It's only outdated if you're a fag. Oh, by the way, I have homosexual friends. Fags are just assholes who happen to be gay. What are you talking about? I drew you a picture a child could understand. Nowhere did I mention "inappropriate." I stated factual information as to "why" the filmmakers chose to hire a 50 year old actress. Because Top Gun was released in 1986. This movie was released in 2022. The movie itself was filmed in 2019, and a 2019 calendar was shown in the film, so we'll be using that year. 1986 to 2019 is 33 years. Maverick was banging a General's daughter, Penny Benjamin, prior to the events in 1986. Ruling out Mav committing statutory rape, we'll assume she was at least 18. 33+18=51. Jennifer Connelly, who played Penny in this film, was 48 during filming. That would put Penny at a more realistic 21 in the first Top Gun. Isn't math cool? I gave it 5 stars too...out of 10. It's currently 6.1/10 on IMDb, so I'm think my assessment is closer than yours.
Nobody made you watch this film...May the next film you see, such as the new comedy Bros,
That's the issue. Nothing in the trailers or synopsis hints at this movie containing homosexuality. So one can't make an informed decision to watch or not watch this movie. Bros is a fag film start to finish. Many will not watch it due to this knowledge, and that's fine. But, as movies are rated for partial nudity, violence, strong sexual content, etc, there should be warning labels for homosexual content. Be it mild or extreme. Just let the consumer decide so they can act accordingly.
His sexuality was never once addressed again in the movie, nor did it have absolutely any influence in the movie.
Just today's DEI indoctrination. Funny Michael Bay didn't have a drone do a flyby and show a 20sec open mouth kiss. I also thought that the gayness was one and done, but later in the film, the agent said he was Jake's friend. And they would discuss daddy issues over a glass of Rosé. Oh, oh. Were they saying the Jake was gay too? Say it ain't so, Joe. My mind started spinning and thought M. Bay was going to have the agent start talking to Jake about being ex-lovers and get him emotional. Thank God that didn't happen. Lol.
Who is Lindsey? Cam's sister? Her daughter?
It was the girl from the opening scene who was in the car accident and pierced by the wrought iron fence. No, we don't see the actual event, just the grainy footage. But even though it was grainy, it was still pretty obvious that it was Mata doing the seduction. Along with the previous knowledge of her being sent to D.C. by the Shepard to do just that, we can safely say it was her. And if I remember correctly, they also shoot a scene with Mata leaving Wilson's office, disheveled, and bumping into His Grace in the waiting room. "The only bit of feminine sexual energy at all is with some grainy footage of some woman supposedly seducing Woodrow Wilson, but this amounts to just seeing her dance around his desk a bit and then go behind it before the footage stops. I would have liked to see that actual event, not just the lame grainy footage of it that is being used to blackmail Wilson. Then there is Mata Hari, who SHOULD be a display of sensuality, but they do nothing with her as well. She at least wears a jacket revealing a tiny bit of cleavage, but that's it." You do realize that was Mata Hari seducing Wilson, yes? You should. Just like we read left to right and top to bottom. If everyone like you would follow forum etiquette, the intelligent people wouldn't have to repeat themselves. It would also reduce the amount of servers in this world by 50%. And the world is worse off because Saddam Hussein is dead.
7.4/10 user score on IMDB.
6.6/10 and continuing to dive. LMAO. This is a fun read. Joogle would have been a perfect addition in that "everyone has a dumb-ass" scene. ^^This^^ "OOH...MAYBE DON'T BE SO EAGER TO ADMIT TO HAVING TERRIBLE TASTE." Right back at you, buddy. Music is subjective and because you enjoy it, doesn't mean everyone does. For me, Vol. 3 had the worst soundtrack. Zendaya looks like an 11 year old. ^^This^^ I posted this link 3 years before you posted yours. Don't people today read all the comments before replying? https://time.com/4162254/cost-of-rescuing-matt-damon/ Roguemail sums it up well enough. Nothing new here. Don't waste any money on this. It will be on cable/internet for free soon enough. Actually, golf club scene. I think it was a subtle jab at the infamous Tiger Woods fiasco.
