Are you 12? Maybe English is not your 1st language? Honestly, I'm lost. Why would anyone put a link to the same thread they're commenting on? You do know how to insert quotes, yes? Even though there's no need to quote when we have the ability to scroll up and read, lol. If you're looking for an answer, just to justify your existence, then I'll give you my opinion. As long as both parties are of legal age and are happy together, there is no such thing as appropriate or inappropriate.

What are you talking about? I drew you a picture a child could understand. Nowhere did I mention "inappropriate." I stated factual information as to "why" the filmmakers chose to hire a 50 year old actress.
Because Top Gun was released in 1986. This movie was released in 2022. The movie itself was filmed in 2019, and a 2019 calendar was shown in the film, so we'll be using that year.
1986 to 2019 is 33 years. Maverick was banging a General's daughter, Penny Benjamin, prior to the events in 1986. Ruling out Mav committing statutory rape, we'll assume she was at least 18. 33+18=51. Jennifer Connelly, who played Penny in this film, was 48 during filming. That would put Penny at a more realistic 21 in the first Top Gun.

I gave it 5 stars too...out of 10. It's currently 6.1/10 on IMDb, so I'm think my assessment is closer than yours.

That's the issue. Nothing in the trailers or synopsis hints at this movie containing homosexuality. So one can't make an informed decision to watch or not watch this movie. Bros is a fag film start to finish. Many will not watch it due to this knowledge, and that's fine. But, as movies are rated for partial nudity, violence, strong sexual content, etc, there should be warning labels for homosexual content. Be it mild or extreme. Just let the consumer decide so they can act accordingly.

Just today's DEI indoctrination. Funny Michael Bay didn't have a drone do a flyby and show a 20sec open mouth kiss. I also thought that the gayness was one and done, but later in the film, the agent said he was Jake's friend. And they would discuss daddy issues over a glass of Rosé. Oh, oh. Were they saying the Jake was gay too? Say it ain't so, Joe. My mind started spinning and thought M. Bay was going to have the agent start talking to Jake about being ex-lovers and get him emotional. Thank God that didn't happen. Lol.

It was the girl from the opening scene who was in the car accident and pierced by the wrought iron fence.
No, we don't see the actual event, just the grainy footage. But even though it was grainy, it was still pretty obvious that it was Mata doing the seduction. Along with the previous knowledge of her being sent to D.C. by the Shepard to do just that, we can safely say it was her. And if I remember correctly, they also shoot a scene with Mata leaving Wilson's office, disheveled, and bumping into His Grace in the waiting room.
"The only bit of feminine sexual energy at all is with some grainy footage <b>of some woman</b> supposedly seducing Woodrow Wilson, but this amounts to just seeing her dance around his desk a bit and then go behind it before the footage stops. I would have liked to see that actual event, not just the lame grainy footage of it that is being used to blackmail Wilson.
