So why was the lead FBI guy gay?

His first introduction shows him in some sort of couples therapy with his lover/husband and then he’s summoned via text to come handle this robbery situation. His sexuality was never once addressed again in the movie, nor did it have absolutely any influence in the movie. So my question is, why was his character even addressed as being gay when it had no relevance whatsoever to the movies’s story? It had absolutely none at all. Seriously, why other than some sort of political agenda or the agenda of checking off a social inclusion box that the producers forced onto Michael Bay before they let him make the movie. Was it supposed to help with making more money? Just really weird to me.

He was gay because he liked men sexually.. You should be old enough to understand that by now..

I appreciate that clarification. Being gay must have made him a much better FBI agent as well. I didn't realize that could happen.

It is painfully obvious that many writers put in gay characters solely for “diversity and inclusion” points. Often I’ll watch a show and gay characters will pop up and their sexual orientation has absolutely no bearing on the story .

If you watched movies/tv in 2023 and thought it accurately depicted society you’d think over half of the population was gay.. in reality only about what 4% are

because every movie show commercial song cartoon has to have a gay character and its annoying!i dont have any problem with anyones sexuality but its annoying making a character or animated character gay just for the sake of it.

He can get a quick confession by saying he is going to bring his friends in to pull a train on the guy if he doesn't talk.

Just today's DEI indoctrination. Funny Michael Bay didn't have a drone do a flyby and show a 20sec open mouth kiss. I also thought that the gayness was one and done, but later in the film, the agent said he was Jake's friend. And they would discuss daddy issues over a glass of Rosé. Oh, oh. Were they saying the Jake was gay too? Say it ain't so, Joe. My mind started spinning and thought M. Bay was going to have the agent start talking to Jake about being ex-lovers and get him emotional. Thank God that didn't happen. Lol.
