maybe the cast would've been different Tom Hardy - K Anne Hathaway - Joi Marion Cotillard - Luv Jessica Chastain - Joshi Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Wallace Matt Damon - Sapper Morton Michael Caine - Mister Cotton just saw another one that Idiocracy would go fuckin nuts for - Legion The opening was such a blatant steal from Terminator it might as well have been called Terminator: Angel Apocalypse And he probably went to the oldvic for a few reasons. Possibly being deemed 'difficult' to work with in Hollywood? i.e. perhaps it was known what he was like and word must've gotten around (hey you don't wanna work with spacey he's a right perv) so maybe work dried up abit for a big name like him? (Superman was with his buddy Singer) Everyone in oldvic so starstruck by him/the management so thrilled to have him there bring attention to the oldvic he can get away with stuff (oldvic said as much in their statement) and a constant stream of eager starstruck young english actors to interact with London being a more discrete place (a place you can sort of disappear in if you wish) these other guys who are denying are probably guilty as hell but after having seen what happened to Spacey are like 'What?! no I didn't do any of that! you lying! all lies!! wheres the proof!?' and threat of suing in the hopes that its enough to deter others from coming forward and they can weather the storm until this #metoo thing loses some of its heat and people sort of lose interest in it all (although I don't see how that can happen now as if theres any more big names have been up to no good and theres enough heat on them like happened with spacey its not like the media will be like 'oh its so last week' if its someone of note.. I imagine some are being investigated right now and are on the list for a big reveal and they probably fighting it with hundreds of thousands on legal stuff trying to prevent it coming out as they know when its out they finished. ) 2010/11 (coming soon after Fords Indy comeback like now with TFA) still think would've had similar box office to now. maybe around 2002/03 would've been the latest year a BR2 would have any serious impact? (T3 and Matrix 2/3 were all big in 2003 which might've helped?) there was definitely some serious buzz.. but it just didn't translate into box office no one? no? it has - now at 248m (no thanks to china/japan) cuz she a murdering psycho nutjob Wonder if Spacey now regrets his tweet? He probably figured if he denied it in a 'aw hell no! You are so getting sued motherfucker!!!' then ok he might dampen the flames initially and maybe even deterred others from coming forward, but then hed obviously know thered be others who would come forward and speak out in this Weinstein #metoo climate.. so maybe he figured by admitting it (in not so many words) and then coming out itd perhaps lessen the damage .. but what happened is everyone had no sympathy as star trek guy was 14 years old and the gay community was outraged hed tied it in with being gay as if to say 'hey whatup this is just how us gay guys roll right? I mean everyone knows that right' (but as Fairy_snuff states he had to say he was gay in order to explain the thing) really it was checkmate either way (admit it everyone is outraged others come forward. Deny it then others come forward ) Jail? Unlikely but then things have gotten so off the wall crazy since Weinstein all bets are off so who knows (Weinstein is looking possible he might be in serious trouble in regards to courts, criminal cases etc) Poverty? - do you know how much $$$ films stars like him actually make. Its obscene. Ok new earnings are going to cease now but he probably owns 5 houses and multimillions in various banks, art, classic cars etc plus constant income from royalties/residuals. So think he be ok Infamy? Ok yes i'll give you that one if they come (and im sure they will) when they will force their way in i will emerge in a bathrobe holding a prop kryptonite shard and they will be like we're taking those Spacey dvds and i will go 'WRRRROOOOONG!!' at the top of my lungs Tyson was poison for years decades even before everyone was lolling at him in Hangover with Spacey , although it seems he was abit of known thing in Hollywood, the public had no clue just thought he was this highly respected actor/movie star. but the accusation by the Star Trek guy shocked everyone (as did Spaceys admission/coming out tweet) and it was kind of obvious others would reveal similar stories.. and the fact he was the first huge name to come out in light of the Weinstein thing. its just shocked everyone I guess in this new social media age. think people are still abit shocked by it ..that its this big name movie star from iconic movies like Usual Suspects, Se7en, LA Conf etc (not just some producer only movie buffs were aware of) and that its new and totally unexpected (unlike Polanski who everyones known about for decades) Might have to do that. Just checked my collection and realised have less Spacey than originally thought. Basically its just Superman Returns on bluray (as part of the Reeve collection) and also on DVD (as part of a huge 13 disc silver box set) and Glengarry Glen Ross and Elvis/Nixon dvds. The others I thought I had were Se7en, LA Confidential, Usual suspects..(maybe couple of others too) but now I realise only had them on VHS and gave my whole VHS collection away years ago to charity shop and never bothered to replace those with DVD..
