Aliens is still rated 18 which is strange as Alien is the more horror yet was rerated from 18 to 15, maybe it was deemed more intense as its like Alien on steroids and verging on a 'video nasty'?
Alien 3 is also rerated as 15, but Resurrection remains 18 (very gory)
I think it works better with the mother in II anyway, hes talking to her about love etc which is more apt for the mother , and he disobeyed his father at the end of the last movie. He presumably gets his powers back from his father (in the theatrical version) but again that kind of works better when we don't see it/more mysterious ..(we actually don't see brando again after Jeff East's scenes in the theatrical versions of I & II which again works best maybe that reeve never interacts with him except that brief memory 'it is forbidden' at the end of STM)
also Reeve's performance isn't too good in any of the brando scenes (including the fortress scene in the SE cut of STM) as they were filmed first so hes abit 'off' in his performance (and super skinny) . his refilmed scenes in Lester's II are far superior and have a different tone/more polished performance.. Especially going to get his powers back in the green hue depowered fortress
Empire is also PG now (SW'77 is still U) also the OG Indiana Jones trilogy are now 12 (originally PG)
On the flip side likes of Alien, Terminator, Predator, Total Recall were all originally 18 but have been downgraded to 15 (idk how any of those could ever be a 15 the violence, gore, horror levels)
Meg Foster looked abit like Kirstie Alley back then https://img.likeness.ru/12/69/12695/1355167119.jpg
Imagine if khan had stopped , 'oh my god, you are right Mr chekov, you can go, but tell kirk we are suffering and to send us help,'
I believe she had substance abuse issues at the time which would account for her weight loss/changed appearance between Donners STM/various scenes of II (filmed in 76/77) and SII (Lester scenes filmed in 79/80)
Out of range ,
NOTHING
I thought so at the time. saw it 4 times at the cinema, I was huge fan of the film series but wasn't too fussed on STM (too long/abit boring except the end. Plus id not seen it on the big screen like the rest), but I loved II (easily best one, full of action, battles, fx) and III (for the bad Superman plot/junkyard fight), but IV felt like Superman II 2.0 lots of action with a new scary supervillain, tons of FX, Lex was back, it felt alot more modern than II
i was however about 10 years old at the time

Wow that was trippy, very Warlocky
I remember speculation on the Cloud City/Empire flashback, there were rumours Rey was supposed to see Luke fighting Vader in the flashback. whether it was filmed or not idk (I think doubles for Luke and Vader were listed in the credits), but Rey was def in the Cloud City corridor. There were even Luke and Vader cloud city action figure reissues for TFA to have tied in with the flashback

Boyega won't ever be Bond. and they won't do a black Bond anyway (or a female Bond)
but a black director , a black M (Idris), etc. yes by all means
She's gen z. they love the prequels
wow i can practically hear the Carpenter Halloween theme in my head reading that. so dangerous! now, but maybe not so much then...until 1978 anyway (the movie made halloween like great whites/Jaws)
Reminiscent of that white haired news guy who started to cry when doing his piece to camera talking about immigrants or the like a few years back when Trump had said something that had offended him
What a past month or so for Clooney, first gets accused of not being a movie star by the most influential director of the modern era , now he gets accused of losing the Democrats the election and plunging the world into Trump 2.0!
From imdb

Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone, and Demi Moore were all rumored to be in the running for the part of Poison Ivy before Uma Thurman was cast. Roberts and Moore had both previously worked with Joel Schumacher - Roberts on Flatliners (1990) and Dying Young (1991), and Moore on St. Elmo's Fire (1985). Stone ended up playing the villain in another DC movie, Catwoman (2004).
