Was Demi really approcahed for Poison Ivy in Batman and Robin?

Not sure if she was approached, but hers was one of the names floating around.

Speaking of Madonna, whatever happened with "Leda and Swan" that was supposed co-star Demi Moore? I remember being so excited for this film to happen.

I remember reading a blurb in Entertainment Weekly regarding Demi being considered as Poison Ivy. I also remember reading about Leda and Swan, which seemed exciting (I've read that Madonna backed out, and another reason was because of Demi's pregnancy)

Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone, and Demi Moore were all rumored to be in the running for the part of Poison Ivy before Uma Thurman was cast. Roberts and Moore had both previously worked with Joel Schumacher - Roberts on Flatliners (1990) and Dying Young (1991), and Moore on St. Elmo's Fire (1985). Stone ended up playing the villain in another DC movie, Catwoman (2004).
