I hope so. They have been totally clueless to the BMoL's shenanigans all season. We need to start seeing them catch onto things and soon.
I disagree with the article. I think if they're going to use Mary to show some humanity in the BMoL, then they first have to show some humanity in Mary, and they haven't done that. The last we knew, she was clinging tightly to John's journal, but now her wedding ring is gone and she's sleeping with Ketch. Even if sexing it up with Ketch is a one-time thing for her, how did she get to that point? We've seen Ketch flattering her to excess and hear that she's been delving into hunting with him at the expense of having a relationship with her sons, but as far as an emotional journey for Mary goes, we haven't seen it. It's been entirely off screen. To me, it come off as propping up the BMoL by throwing Mary further under the bus.
Updated with clickable links. How exciting!
Thanks! I'm not sure I would've seen it otherwise.
Cheers for that. Hadn't even thought about using HTML
Maybe this will help.

"Wonder how they will find out that he's dead."
Maybe when Mick shows up as a spirit in the bunker for some reason. It's more likely they'll be told that he was sent back to the UK to continue to keep them completely clueless until the right time and then they'll be told about Mick in a smug way by Ketch or Toni when one or both of them try to kill them.
I would love to know how you got the link clickable too!
Ha! Thanks for posting that. I think it's exactly what I needed.
Interesting that he was a member of the real life Thule society. If they don't go the soul swapping route with it, then I'm still at least thinking that it has to be a nod to Hess, and if there's a nod, then maybe it's because the Thule are behind the BMoL.
"I don't know what Carver is doing now that Frequency is as good as dead but I don't know if he would think of coming back (not that I'm saying he should). Kripke's Timeless is also as good as dead but I always had teh distinct impression that Kripke didn't want to be bothered with SPN anymore."
I had a lot of problems with Carver, because this absolute trouncing of canon really started to get bad under his reign, but at least his myth arcs fit within the parameters of the show. I don't think Kripke wants to be bothered with the show anymore, and I had some problems with the way his storylines went, especially after we lost Kim Manners. Maybe he just doesn't care about the show and wants to be done with it now, but he does seem to have a lot of respect for J2, and since he isn't doing anything, he might as well come back and finish his show off in a way that is fitting of the series or at least stick around until someone else can take over.
Yeah, I think she's supposed to be back for 20-23, so having her be the one to take it would make sense.
Except, I think Singer has had very little input into the storyline this season. He's always leaned more towards Sam, because he thinks Dean is boring, but he's also always been the one who wants to stick to the formula of the show, sometimes to the detriment of the show, like when the DemonDean arch was ended prematurely. This season, there is very little feel of the show's formula/what has always made it work (the brothers, their interactions, character interactions in general, etc.), and I don't think that's his doing, but he certainly hasn't stepped in to fix any of the problems either. I'm guessing that this season he's solely there to be the money man and someone who keeps the Nep duo employed, and Dabb has won out creatively. I always thought Singer seemed like a very strong personality, but if he can't stand up to Dabb, because he's either too tired or whatever it is, then he needs to go.
"Who could they get to replace Dabb?"
Well, since this show prides itself on the idea of family behind the scenes as much as it does on screen, I'm guessing it'd have to be someone associated with the show. Kripke and Carver are both free now, aren't they? It might be a big step back, but after this season, I'd feel like it was a step forward to have either of them there. Berens hasn't renewed his contract, and since he's become much less present/vocal as the season has progressed, I'm guessing it won't be him. Not one of the new writers.
My guess is that they'll think it was Mary as a red herring, and it'll actually have been Toni. She's already gotten in there in the past, and it would be one way to reintroduce her to the show.
Ha! That's perfect!
I think all of that is a stretch, but that's just me. It's okay if that's the way you see it. I'm sure most people probably do. I tend to look at things a little differently on a lot of things.
For me, it's as simple as Dean was already unknowingly working for the BMoL, he found out he had been and then couldn't exactly say that he wasn't going to work for them, because he already had been and nothing bad had happened, so he didn't have an excuse that Sam would buy for why they shouldn't (Compound that with the fact that they'd just worked with Crowley). Sam filled the BMoL in on Dean agreeing to work with them, and the BMoL called them in for a meeting. Dean wasn't happy about it, but did it because it's what Sam wanted. Mick wanted to come along. Dean again wasn't happy about it, but allowed it because it's what Sam wanted, and then Dean used that as an opportunity to keep an eye on Mick, finding out more about the BMoL and arguing back against the things he learned about them. He also actively encouraged Claire to stay a monster, not something he would do if he were complicit in helping the BMoL exterminate all monsters.
I hope you're right, because it's the only thing that I can think of that makes anything about the BMoL make sense. I know you've been wanting to know why Delphine didn't just go to the BMoL (Me too!), and it would explain that also. Plus, it might explain the sole document on the BMoL in the MoL bunker that was also redacted.
"and word has it from one of the cons that Jensen had to actually ask/beg for an episode for his character which resulted in that particular plot device. If that's true, then if Jensen hadn't asked, we wouldn't have even gotten that."
What's this about? Was it on stage or in a M&G?
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, except the promo makes it look like it's a MotW episode, and that might get a few more people interested in it if they think it'll be less BMoL (It won't be, because they'll try to fill the time with some side story, but it'll appear that way, and maybe it'll draw in more viewers).
"Surely Andrew Dabb will be replaced next season?"
If the ratings continue to slide, maybe he will be, but the whole network's ratings are sliding, so maybe they'll just think it's in line with that.
