My OP was about how old she looks, though, not how old she is chronologically. She definitely looks older than 53. Compare her to someone like Kim Dickens who is 52 now - there is literally no comparison, makeup or not. And it's not like Kim is glammed up in the zombie apocalypse, either.
But still, no one ever brought it up? I was surprised, for instance, that when the two women were at the crazy neighbors' house, they didn't mention anything about the "smiley" face on the door.
I totally loved the finale! I mean, if you let a couple of illogical moments slide, I thought it was a great way to end the story.
Different chicken. :-)
But you are posting on a message board of a show you haven't watched in years and have no interest in?..
Yeah, that makes sense (ahem).
It's only four more days till the finale.
Eh, the show is okay, I suppose, but not as great as I thought it would be based on the first episode.
This is no The Night Of.
That's because they were all high.
What's your question, though? I mean, Cora was always meek.
But I remembered how Frankie Belmont's friend from the beach said he looked like he guided her hand to stab him, so now that makes sense. He's been living with the guilt.
That doesn't detract from you swearing it off? That phrase doesn't make any sense, especially in the overall context of your post.
I am not sure there is a reason to look for deeper meaning here, but it could be what they meant, yes.
But I mean, DVD? I can't even watch anything in non-HD anymore.
It doesn't matter in terms of understanding what's going on, but it can ruin your impression of the series if you don't start from the beginning.
I studied French in college, I am aware. :-)
I am just answering what they were actually saying.
The subtitles said Humperdoo.
Well, her entire life she has been in the prison of her room. She's never interacted with anyone outside her family save for some doctors and nurses. I imagine being already post-pubescent she has the same urges and desires as anyone, just no outlet for them.
But I still don't understand why she couldn't masturbate on her own - she has functioning arms.
I wrote earlier that this is probably a reference to the fairy tale "The Snow Queen": https://moviechat.org/tt1844624/American-Horror-Story/59b0e915eb83b2001185ef8c/Hans-Christian-Andersen-reference
In the fairy tale they were neighbors who loved each other like a brother and sister.
The commercials were actually too disturbing for me - I thought it would be all torture porn and stuff.
Is it safe to watch?
I think Coven was a weird place to start - why didn't you just start from the beginning? And why on earth are you buying DVD's?
But anyway, the whole show is gruesome and not for the easily shocked.
In addition to seasons 1 and 2 I would highly recommend watching the last season, Roanoke.
But yes, it's a different story each season, you don't need to watch anything else to understand what's happening.
I don't know, I for one loved Roanoke, but from this board it looks like I am the only one. Freaks I tried watching and couldn't, lost interest after 2-3 episodes. Hotel I didn't watch at all.
