This film TOTALLY called it like it is and predicted our present predicament.
Fantastic lines marvelously delivered! It was catching a snippet of this speech on a TCM preview which made me drop everything and make watching "Network" a priority! This speech ought to be read into the Congressional Record!
As for who is tampering with the primal forces of nature...look to the oil companies and carbon emissions for that!
Too bad it wasn't and a staggeringly vast number of people are too clueless to get the point had it been! This movie had it right all along! I am glad I saw it for the first time AFTER the election as previous to last November 8 I gave the American people credit for entirely too much common decency and good sense let alone basic educational level. Won't make that mistake again!
