Supposedly many of the women in the film were his girlfriends who he had put under contract and he made the film just to fulfill the contracts. If so it turned out unexpectedly good. What a bitter little jerk. There is also a drive-in in Oregon in driving distance from where I live. I have attended a movie there with the same friends. The only other film I saw them in together was when they were pitted against each other in The Story of Mankind. Does anyone know of any others? If you hadn't mentioned this I would have. In this case it was interesting that the man was not her husband. Usually spanking a full grown woman would be a husbandly privilege. I didn't know he was in it and didn't notice him. Had a great time watching this. I just saw it for the first time last night and it's great. I too watched it only for Vincent Price. So far I have not been sorry for watching any of his films. In case anyone is still wondering, two very good copies are on YouTube, one with captions and one without. What I have heard about Lawrence Welk was his music was called "champagne music" because it was light and bubbly, and bubbles are associated with champagne. Possibly their use in both cases was a coincidence. Once in the theater and once in the drive-in. Yes, those existed back then. When we went to see it in the theater, the line stretched clear down the block and around the corner. It was a small theater and my friend's brother who took us said, "Not everybody is going to get in." When we came out he said, "That was such an open-ended ending, the villain got away and nobody got the girl, they're setting up for a sequel." My two friends and I hadn't thought of it and looked at him in awe. I am still best friends with the two I accompanied to the theater in 1977. As for the drive-in, I only remember going, I honestly don't remember who I was with. Cool movie! My interest in Vincent Price is leading me to many great films I had never heard of! I was just watching for Vincent Price but it held my attention and interest. Daisy was drugged and smothered. I don't know either how Michael suspected except I guess Michael showed up to see Daisy and discovered her dead and saw the Bible and moss rose. Who else but his mother would even have the motive? The question is how did his mother know about Daisy? Did he tell her he was seeing Daisy or did she figure it out by stalking him or something? I think he said he’d been away for a year and the baby was six weeks, not six months. In no way his. Bisexual actually. Married three times, two children. He was EXTREMELY hot! I saw it last night. I really want to see this.
