I'm 34 minutes in and I'm about to quit

I shut this off once they got to some random Fun Island scenes. The visuals sucked (looked like outer space more than deep sea), the humor was out of place, the dialogue was weak. I like Jason Statham, but not this movie

Yup it sucks. And I paid for it and watched it in the cinema...

I thought it was quite enjoyable, but certainly not without improvements like leave out the subplot with the family relationships along with the mining terrorist magically down in the Trench and instead, show the tirle card in the opening credits and once that disappears, you go straight for the actiion already in progress and no buildup..

The last part is the best once the backpack guy starts kicking ass.

It was disappointing. Sienna Guillory and her character were completely wasted after being setup in a promising angle.

I wouldn't have minded if the entire movie took place on the seafloor. All that Sealab stuff was cool as beans.

I unfortunately stuck thru the entire thing. What a piece of turd this was. I don't mind suspended belief for the sake of a movie I know is going to be farfetched, but this thing was just horrible. From beginning to end.
