SO. MUCH. MORALIZING! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Which is really not the reason I ever watched Marvel in the first place. Like, at all. And the way they kept pushing Karli down our throats as a sympathetic figure really got to be too much by the end. I, for one, was happy the rabid dog was put down.

Weird Captain America suit btw - there is stuff going around the sides and the back of his head, but nothing protecting the brain? What's even the purpose of that turtle hood then? πŸ™„

Who was the bombing butler in the end? From the context I gather it was one of Zemo's people? Why was Zemo so set on destroying all the super soldiers to begin with, though? I don't remember the events leading up to this development from the movies.

Oh, so no one finds out that Sharon is the Power Broker?

reply

I agree with Karli, she was super evil and Falcon was just being ridiculous not fighting a terrorist. Just neutralize her and take her to justice.

New Captain America was just ok.

The bombing butler, wasn't he the old guy in the airplane that belonged to Zemo? I think he was.

Sharon sucked very much. Bad character, bad actress, bad story, lame twist and transformation to the dark side for a character that was such a goody two shoes.

Oh, right, I remember now how Zemo said to him that if any of the food smells off, he should give it to Sam and Bucky. πŸ˜„

Can't take her seriously as a bad ass whatsoever. Also can't act for shit and has the presence of a door. She definitely must be sleeping with someone important at Disney.

reply

You wanted it to be more like a theme park?

reply

What does that mean?

reply

It's a reference.

reply

Did you like the show?

reply

It was a'ight.

reply

You mean he wanted it to be fun. I thought that why people watch Superhero shit in the first place. For Fun.

reply

Not everything has to be mindless fun.

reply

Well Fun is preferable to boring political lectures. At least to me.

reply

specially when that mindless is 100% political ideology ...

reply

She.

Yes, I wanted it to be non-preachy, non-bleeding heart liberal, and non-political fun.

More importantly, though, I wanted it to be a well-written quality show that didn't make me roll my eyes or regret the time I spent watching it. Heck, I remember I even recommended it to someone in the beginning, which is now embarrassing!

reply

I'm not sure when it was exactly that Disney became a front for the Democratic party, but that clearly is the present reality. What a shame. They used to be a great company.

Seriously, Karli kidnaps half of the UN and literally says to her minions to kill the hostages and Sam is saying she's not a terrorist? Are we supposed to not label people like Tim McVeigh and Bin Laden? I don't get it at all.

Didn't Sharon get shot in the stomach? And she's holding her wound saying she doesn't need to go to a hospital and sneaks off with Bucky like a few bandages will clear things up....

Also, what is Sharon even doing there? Did I miss something or did she travel halfway around the world to sneak into the US (where she is wanted) to try to convince Karli and her team to come back to work for her? IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR SUICIDE TERRORIST MISSION AT THE UN? Not an ideal time for that and it's not like she could have snuck them out the back door. Honestly, I must have missed a scene or something...

reply

It was just a poorly written incoherent mess.

reply

Ha ha ha! Exactly.

Apparently, this entire series was written by a 13 year-old who goes to a school with no grades.

reply

I agree with you that some stuff was bad, like Karli.

Feels like the show was forced to change plot lines or dialogue on the fly. Not much made sense.

The Sam and the Bucky story arcs made sense however and I think someone was cutting onions in the room whenever Isaiah Bradley story was on screen.

So there’s some good but also some bad and some plain weird.

reply

Yeah did feel like the show was really suppose to be mainly focused on Bucky and Falcon but then realised they need to give villains and screen time to said villains. It’s like show would remember oh right bad guy stuff we should throw some of those scenes in. Like says a lot when one of fav moments in the entire show is just the parts of Bucky and Sam working in the boat and that character building between them. Fake cap, terrorist, power broker just didn’t really care for that and once Zemo was gone from the hunting for the bad guys cared even less.

reply

But youre talking about a TV series that is based in a world where half the worlds population have come back, why would you think moralising wouldnt be part of that?

It would be weird if they accepted everyone came back and then just carried on as if nothing had changed, im guessing they are going to use the TV series to tackle the change so that the movies dont have to feature it all the time.
