Not just being unrealistic but the fact that it's more a feminist wet dream than anything else. I can't stand it every time a woman tries to compete in a man's sport that they will never have a chance in. Major League Baseball, National Football League, men's tennis, men's golf when are women just going to give it up because all they do it for is publicity and a feminist wet dream. this woman that's portraying a major league pitcher is tiny petite ,so blatantly obvious that she's throwing it about 30 miles an hour. If you were going to do something this ridiculous at least get somebody out there that's a female bodybuilder maybe can act her way out of a paper bag.
And I thought I was the only one that use that statement anymore. But you left out ignoramus. Here is a few more funny ones just in case you need a booster supply!
I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and s*** or poop out a smarter statement than that. I've heard smarter things from a schizophrenic with Tourette's. I don't argue with idiots, they will just lower me to their level then beat me with experience. Somewhere out there is a tree, tirelessly producing oxygen so you can breathe. I think you owe it an apology.
Typical MRA whining and bitching (mostly whining)(and mostly bitching) with a dose of body shaming thrown in for good measure. It's a story, little man (men); get over yourselves. ~ whimper ~
LOL how much sleep are u bros losing over this. You will never be in the MLB or any sports major leagues either LOL. You see yourselves in sports stars you will never be.
Worry more about your own unrealistic fantasies based on other men's achievements than a damn fictional TV show. Get over it.
For the last time, it's not MRA's whining, it's an audience that feels as though their intelligence is being insulted by this show (hint: it is). The fastest recorded fastball by a woman is 69 mph. To put that into perspective, I threw 71 mph when I was 16. I played baseball yes, but I never pitched as I had a weak throwing arm even for my age (there were guys throwing mid to upper 80's on my team of 15-17 year olds). So yeah the audience has a right to criticize and scratch their heads at this absurd premise of a show. It's simple biology. Take it up with Darwin.
Wonderful, so we have another Retard that doesn't understand suspension of disbelief. There are different rules set for different shows you *beep* mongoloid. The rules set for this are incredibly different from the rules set for GoT. This show insults it's audience, GoT doesn't. Please for the love of God take one film class, or have more than a double digit IQ. I won't hold my breath for the last request though.
I just don't buy this explanation. One because the concept of suspension of belief relies on the internal logic of the show not our own world. If the show states that she can make it in the MLB that is no longer up for debate. That is the premise. If a show stated she could fly that is not up for debate. That is the premise. If the show states that getting bit by a bug makes her a superhuman that isn't up for debate it's the premise. If there is no set up and it feels unreal within the CONSTRUCT of the world then that would be suspension of belief. Why is it so hard for so many guys to get behind the basic premise of the show regardless of it occurring in our own world. You stated yourself there are rules. In this show the RULES are that she can pitch in the MLB so what is the problem? Did the movie Rookie of the Year piss people off this bad? Why do ppl harp on the realism of this but not other shows set in a "real" environment but have ridiculous circumstances that drive the premise (House of Cards, Home Alone).

So what professional men's sport do you play? Major League Baseball? National Football League? Men's Tennis? Men's Golf"? I mean, you HAVE to be good enough to play some professional "men's sport". If not, I guess we must include you with all of those women who have wet dreams of playing men's sports.

Marcus Stroman is 180 pounds. That's about 60-70 pounds heavier than Kylie Bunbury. The 'slender whip-like' pitchers tend to be tall. Shorter pitchers are usually stocky. The lead character of Pitch is neither tall nor stocky.
Agreed. I just thought the top comment about body type needed to be addressed since Stro really is a small guy - he's pretty slender in person. But you're right, pitchers are generally either tall or stocky.
Men do impossible things in movies but yet when its women people complain endlessly. No one is saying it to be a documentary. Its only tv show and its purpose is to entertain. Get over it.
