Stop going to see these movies, for the love of god!
There is literally zero reason why this franchise is on its 10th movie in 20 years.

shareDisagree. Each movie has been better than the one before it
shareYou joking or something? 1st one was ok, pretty cool even. I liked Tokyo Drift and Fast Five. It seems, that each sequel tries to top the previous movie with craziness, but usually doesn't
shareI didn't care for 9. The movie was all over the place. How ridiculous the action was in 9 wasn't 9's problem. It was a lot of other things, especially all the flashback scenes. But at least I'm still interested in 10 and 11 (aka 10A and 10B since they are splitting 10 into two parts like they did the final Harry Potter movie). To me, 9 felt more like 8.5 (although that's supposed to be Hobbs & Shaw) and 10 will be the 9th movie and 11 is the 10th movie. 9 just seemed like it was setting up 10 and 11 more than being it's own things, so focusing on the future than the "now." All the other movies weren't setting up future movies. Well, 4, 5, and 6 were all prequels to Tokyo Drift, but they still managed to make each of those movies their own thing and have some beginning, middle to end. But 9 I really didn't care for. There was just something really off about it compared to 1 thru 8, and it wasn't the action. I know how to have fun. Plus I'm not watching a movie for 100% realism. I'm old school. I can have fun with watching someone jump from a 30 or 40 story building and surviving. I know the difference between the real world and fiction. So whatever crazy stuff Fast & Furious does, I can just shrug at it and accept it. Also, the Fast & Furious movies are more practical than someone thinks. Like in Furious 7 when they went skydiving in their cars, or the whole bank vault chase sequence in Fast Five. Well, the only time it was green screen in Furious 7 during the skydive scene was when they cut to the characters in the cars. But everything else was practical. I'm sure the rope swing in 9 was CGI though, but other stuff could've been practical. But if some of the stuff was practical, obviously they are still within the laws of physics. But yeah. I can have fun with the action. My problems with 9 were in other departments.
shareI was about as big a fan of these movies as one could get. Didn't mind that they had upped the ante with the action. It was with them up till movie 7. When Dom took said "the street always wins" stomped his food on the crack and the whole parking structure came down.....at that point I knew the series was in big trouble. The whole movie pretty much sucked. But it wasn't too late and I was hoping for a good 8 and 9.....sadly they sucked even worse.
So now I'm a fan of movies 1-6 and the last three are complete garbage...

shareGOOD ADVICE...FOR YOURSELF.
shareBut the MCU is worse - they must be on their 20th movie in 10 years!
shareBut...I love these movies!
No idea why, as I generally despise stupid shit, and honestly hated this series prior to 5. But somehow, their ability to embrace their dumb shit and continually amp up the absurdity has sucked me in.
Absolutely the same. After 5, they became bananas action and plot, but in the best way. Prior to that, it took itself a little too seriously.
