recast the movie to try make it a hit

In the Banks role have Cameron Diaz back to give it abit of A list glitz and connect directly to the previous 2 hit films - as has happened with all the recent belated 'legacy' sequels Star Wars, Terminator etc (no need for Drew or Liu but they could cameo)

Then instead of Twilight you get some really popular ridiculously hot actress in her late 20s/early 30s who is also a big name (ScarJo, MRobbie - basically whoever would take a gamble on it).

plus maybe get a recent Bond or MI girl (Olga whatshername, the Spectre one) so could have the 007/MI connection. Aladdin girl can stay and play the new recruit the other 2 they have to train up

Then for the director : someone who has done these kind of action movies before who would agree (probably one who maybe hasn't done much of late/not so in demand so might do it for the $s/profile e.g. a previous 007 director? John Woo? hell maybe even bring back McG!)

well, this movie was a waste of budget money, screen space, and viewer time.
How about NOT recasting it, and making something original that might be great that we never get to see due to sequel, reboot, remake, reimage, woke message politically correcting, cash grab garbage exactly like this

It doesn't matter who you get to direct or who you get to star, it's going to be the same thing or worse.

You're not going to turn the Charlie's Angels IP into The Avengers in one movie. And you're not going to turn it into John Wick either as John Wick doesn't work nearly as well without the R rating, something no studio would go for.

This is really the best they could hope for as far as what they can control.

I wouldn’t have interest in seeing this type of film anyway, but a cast lead by Margot Robbie I think would have been a bigger box office draw.

for it to be a big name like Robbie etc they might have done it if they were a fan who grew up watching CA and who wouldn't listen to their agent/friends etc telling them not to do it (as happened with Bale when he did Terminator 4). plus as the previous CA films were hits so therd be no real reason to think a new one would bomb..

actually Twilight girl is quite a big name anyway so she'll have probably considered all that (but unlike the ScarJos, Robbies shes not all that popular, and dosnt do big movies since Twilight & SnowWhite about 10 years ago - no superhero stuff)

Beyonce, Tiffany Haddish, and Queen Latifah. Or replace Queen Latifah w/ one of the many promising young black actresses if you want it to serve as a star vehicle. Morgan Freeman as the voice of Charlie. Or Oprah and have Charlie be "Charlotte" or "Charlene". A hammy actor as villain: John Malkovich, John Travolta, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Walken. Subtlety is not needed with a property based on a 70s TV show

Go all-in on the black audience. Now you pander to two different subsections of SJWs, guarantee good reviews, draw some w/ the star power alone, draw some who assume it will be "so bad it's good", and the mainstream media will do the marketing for you for FREE, since an all-black reboot will be great fodder for all media outlets

Director: F. Gary Gray or Tim Story. Who cares? All that matters is the stars in front of the camera

Wow, nailed it. Don't forget Kevin Hart as Bosley, because even Bosley must be portrayed as silly and small in the presence of such powerful women, whilst still checking the popular black male actor box.

reply

Great idea, he fits perfectly as Bosley within my vision

reply

I like the evil white guy protagonist idea. We need more of that.

Replace the whole cast with lingerie models in their 20s and have them all nude throughout most of the movie. Guaranteed hit!

reply

COUPLE MORE STEPS AND YOUVE GOT A PORNO...GOOD WORK CHAMP.

Recasting a franchise that was just remade in 2011, failed the LAST time, and who NOBODY wanted to see remade AGAIN is not going to make the project viable no matter how popular the "stars" of the film are. Whoever "greenlit" this movie needs to be fired.

Morgan Freeman, Dany DeVito and Steve Buscemi as the angels

Spielberg as director.
