recast the movie to try make it a hit

In the Banks role have Cameron Diaz back to give it abit of A list glitz and connect directly to the previous 2 hit films - as has happened with all the recent belated 'legacy' sequels Star Wars, Terminator etc (no need for Drew or Liu but they could cameo)

Then instead of Twilight you get some really popular ridiculously hot actress in her late 20s/early 30s who is also a big name (ScarJo, MRobbie - basically whoever would take a gamble on it).

plus maybe get a recent Bond or MI girl (Olga whatshername, the Spectre one) so could have the 007/MI connection. Aladdin girl can stay and play the new recruit the other 2 they have to train up

Then for the director : someone who has done these kind of action movies before who would agree (probably one who maybe hasn't done much of late/not so in demand so might do it for the $s/profile e.g. a previous 007 director? John Woo? hell maybe even bring back McG!)

The only thing that doesn't really appeal to me about this movie is that the cast seems really young compared to the cast of the former film. I know Drew and Cameron were in their 20s, but Lucy Liu was 32 when the earlier film was released in 2000 and I prefer that age bracket for this type of film. I probably would just age the cast up a little.

My picks would be maybe...Leighton Meester, Zoë Kravitz, Crystal Reed, or even Dianna Agron. None of these women are unknowns, but I think all of them would be interesting in roles like these, which I feel they've kind of played around with before but never fully embraced. Also, none are necessarily sexpots - they can all be sexy, but that's not really their go-to feature, just as it wasn't for the former actresses. I like that they're all versatile, which is what spies should be.

I wouldn't choose big name actresses because it's more fun watching lesser known actresses do new things and, tbh, I think people are getting sick of ScarJo always playing the action roles. Also, Margot Robbie doesn't need it - she's pretty busy.

As for a director, I'd pick Anne Fletcher, who can definitely deal in films with a female-heavy cast and lot of choreography - since she is also a choreographer - and she can also open a franchise. Also, I'm interested to see her take on a project in this vein, something she hasn't ever done but I feel could do well.
