The movie was far too long to watch (last movie I remember that had that much useless screen time was Superman Returns). Tons of obvious logical plotholes and the first 30 minutes as boring as possible.
On the plus side it had a few good jokes, a few good scenes. So its ... a mediocre action movie.
I can concur. But it's what we have. Could have been a lot worse (TLJ worse). And there was some light relief, like you said. But I hate how they practically neutered the
Hulk. Ah well, you can't have it all.Boy did RJ look gaunt coming from that spaceship!
Points for realism.
Yep, Thor was nothing else then a joke for the whole movie. And Hulk ... was he even part of anything important of this movie? He just was all the time just some sort of problem for the Avengers.
You have to neuter the most powerful heroes because if they win too easily it undermines the villain. Thor got in some hits on Thanos and wreaks havoc with Stormbreaker in the final battle. He's played mostly for laughs but his character was completely broken up inside. It was an entertaining and interesting take I thought, plus it's not the last movie for his character seeing as it sets it up for him to be in Guardians 3.
Hulk and Stark figured out the time travel stuff and Hulk also reversed the snap and brought everyone back. Hulk should have had an interaction with Thanos though and a brief fight with him seeing as his whole arc in Infinity War was that he was scared of Thanos.
