Walsh calls out leftist delusion, yet he believes in "god".

Ah, "gawd"... America's favourite fairytale character. After centuries, nobody has provided a shred of empirical evidence for its existence. Yet Walsh (and all his DW cohorts) talks to this nonexistent entity every day.

Disappointing. Atheism is the natural conclusion of the "logic" that Walsh and Shapiro espouse.

Who cares? God either exists or He doesn't. If He does...

...if SHE does...

;)

reply

The atheists on this board seem to care. They won't quit posting about God.

reply

Sigh. The constant bashing of God and the people who believe in him from the "tolerant" left wing...

Well, I'll pray for you anyway. Of course I'll block you, but I'll still say a prayer for you.

reply

Who's left wing? Certainly not me. I'm a moderate who lambasts the delusions of both tribes.

reply

Wow, you quoted a little book of fairytales written by primitive men.

reply

And ye doth protest too much, methinks. Perhaps Mr Scary BlackMass wants to believe. I pray and hope so.

reply

He is actually correct.

There is not one single, solitary shred of empirical evidence that the Christian God exists. For that matter , there is not one single, solitary shred of empirical evidence any of the 3000 + Gods of other religions exist.

This could cause someone to be an Atheist using logic. Understood and sensible. However, there is something we still can't explain - what caused the Big Bang to occur??? It is possible a supreme being was the responsible party. Thus, for me, I am Agnostic.

BlackMass seems to put down those that believe, this isn't fair. If you believe, hey great, good for you. I respect that, just as I respect the Atheist, just as I would appreciate my Agnosticism being respected.

reply

Quite, but what are the chances that a decidedly anthropomorphic, beardie sky fairy created the big bang? That's really what I'm ridiculing. Well, that and all the other objectively anti-scientific nonsense in the bible.

reply

I can't disagree with you.

There is no proof, no evidence. And about 90% of the Bible is made up.

No argument from me. However, there is still that possibility, maybe a supreme being did start it all up.

I'm sure at some point, science will come up with a sensible hypothesis of what did in fact happen, what it is that made the Big Bang occur. But I don't think it will happen in my lifetime. So, although unlikely, the sky fairy is still possible.

" The Big Bang was the moment 13.8 billion years ago when the universe began as a tiny, dense, fireball that exploded. Most astronomers use the Big Bang theory to explain how the universe began. But what caused this explosion in the first place is still a mystery."
