Zack Snyder says he hopes to make "four or six" Rebel Moon movies

These directors seem to be living in a bubble. Why doesn't anyone just tell them that their movies are bad? That way they can fix them before releasing the movie or its sequel.

reply

And who the hell keeps funding this crap???

reply

Netflix just randomly sets large piles on money on fire. Like Joker did in "The Dark Knight."

He be better off focusing on the sell DCEU to Netflix movement

The problem is Zack is an awful writer, these Rebel Moon films have atrocious screenplays with bland storytelling and flat dialogue.

But people watch it because it’s just more crap shovelled onto Netflix so I wouldn’t be surprised if they green light more of this trash.

reply

I get Netflix for free through my cell phone plan and I almost never watch it. I watched about 20 minutes of "Part One" and couldn't take it.

reply

I can see that coming down to "three or four".

reply

HE BETTER HOPE PEOPLE REMEMBER THEY EXIST AND WATCH THEM...I FORGOT THIS WAS A THING UNTIL I SAW THIS THREAD.😂

reply

Oh hell yeah!

reply

nope you're very confused.

in a few months,
Part 1 now has 78.4 million views, 5.5 million of which were added the week when Part 2 was released

in 4-5 days
Part 2 now has 21.4 million views

where a view can be 1 person or a large household

what no one is actually watching is any movie made by any of the legions of envious crybabies delusionally dunking on this franchise

now, go ahead and disregard reality: get back to that endless cycle of cope and circle jerk

no that's not how it works. the methodology is explained on the data page https://www.netflix.com/tudum/top10

"We define views for a title as the total hours viewed divided by the total runtime"

now if you left it on in the background then fell asleep, then that would be a view. so....maybe it's possible to come up with a convoluted rationalization that his movies are so boring "everyone is falling asleep while watching" or something sufficiently copeworthy. 👍

it varies but at any given time i have seen i think up to like 30,000 titles or something on Netflix. people do not need to force themselves to watch one specific thing on there.

Part One had a big push on social media and the Home page in the US and was quite visible. but Part Two wasn't. you had to dig deep into the new releases list to find it, until it already reached the top movie on the Top 10 list where it was more visible.

if these views are all from supportive Snyder acolytes then that would be perfect reason for Netflix to continue with the franchise and anything he makes, since these numbers would represent the "guaranteed minimum" for anything he put out.

and.. these things are cheap.. the extended cuts are still yet to be released, giving them a total 4 movies already paid for at $166 million. makes business sense to keep 'em coming

and it's impossible to know demographics of the reviewers so that doesnt even make sense

i actually think it's great that you can un-embarass yourself by editing your own posts without warning any time later.

but with all that power in your hands though you actually managed to re-embarass yourself with a single random nonsensical (preserved for posterity)

extremely funny.

well at least this time you didn't claim that you watching 20 minutes of Part 2 counted as a view, didn't claim that the only movies available on Netflix were the ones you could see on the home page, didn't claim that Netflix didn't have to pay Snyder if he didn't reach $1 million revenue (magically, somehow), didn't falsely that each movie would cost $300 million each because you did math wrong, and didn't claim that "only colored people and n*rs" gave it positive reviews online

so that's a plus 👍

Always entertaining when burner accounts go on for a full page about their nonsense then delete their accounts.

These movies are cheap entertaining popcorn flicks free to watch on Netflix. Why are you so heated about it? They are entertaining enough to stay away and watch before bedtime. I give the first one a 6/10 and second one 5/10. they will be forgotten unless a part 3 comes out and we'll watch it if it does and forget it by the next day. Who gives af if they aren't great they aren't trash either. Why are you so passionate about a mid AF movie?

reply

Says the guy who just wrote a mindless paragraph about it.

$166 million = "Cheap."
