Am I the only one who thinks this is terrible?

Please no hate here, I just want to voice my opinion. Anyway, I think this is one of the worst horror films I've ever seen, especially considering the "buzz" around it. None of this film, in my opinion, was even remotely scary, just the occasional "Thrill". Here's the layout for me:

Amateur Night - I liked the build up, but the drunkenness was incredibly annoying. It also felt too much like "been there, done that" and was just a simple creature feature. Sadly, this is one of the better ones.

2nd Honeymoon - Somewhat tense with the masked assailant, but absolutely terrible in regards to the ending, and so much filler. This entire clip could've been less than 5 minutes, and the impact would not have been any different.

Glitchman - Abysmal. The story was terrible, completely contrived, the effects were awful, the acting was a joke, and the entire creature or strange entity made no sense whatsoever. Overall, the worst in a horrendous line-up of found footage.

Strange Thing That Happened To Emily - This one could have actually been great, and it almost was. The tension kept mounting up pretty successfully, yet once again, the film took no interest in explaining or further investigating the happenings of the "aliens". Overall, the best one out of the anthology, but still disappointing.

Tape 56 - Sloppily done, with a completely predictable ending that was just dumb.

Haunted House - Again, could've been pretty good, but the potential was squandered with run-of-the-mill material, YET AGAIN no sufficient explanation, and one of the worst endings in the whole bunch.

Overall, I found this movie to be atrocious. Believe me, I do not go into this expecting the Academy Award for best original screenplay, but Jesus this was poorly executed. No connections were made between the tapes, the stories were overall just flat out bad, and the resolutions to each tape were horrible. No definitive conclusion or insight into what exactly is going on. I don't want my horror films to be spoonfed to me, but I also don't want everything to be left in complete ambiguity. 4/10, and that's being generous.

I completely hated it on my first go round, ended up liking it more every time after that. i think it was the delicious misandry

I didn't like it. I found it to be extremely boring. I caught myself drifting off with my thoughts several times even though I normally have no problems focusing on movies. I stopped watching after the Glitchman.
There are way too many filler moments. Most characters are established in the first seconds since they are quite generic so I didn't really get why there was so much pointless conversation which added nothing to the characters and story that we didn't already know. All it did was take out any bit of suspense that could've been there.
Maybe it can be taken as some kind of parody but it wasn't really clever enough for that.

I might add though that slasher stuff does nothing for me in the first place so my opinion is biased anyways.

easily one of the worst movies of all time

Completely agree. I actually laughed during many of the "scary" moments. The "Paramormal activity found footage" thing has been taken too far now.

There was nothing original about it either all felt generic and done before. I couldn't wait for it to be over but forced myself to finish it to give a proper review.

Absolute garbage.

Amateur Night - I thought the drunken guys were obnoxious and were the epitomy of all I hate in drunken meat-heads who will likely be rapists or fat and alone by 45. The bespeckled dude clearly doesn't need to be hanging with him. However he falls under the category of too *beep* stupid to live. I'm sorry, she was busy tearing apart not one but two guys, she wouldn't have noticed him running past her. After all as she was de-genitalizing his other buddy he just sat there panting like a b*tch then crawled out panting so loudly I'm surprised she didn't eat him then. And what he fell off the very bottom stair and broke his wrist through his skin? Seriously? WtF? And he proceed to just LAY there sobbing and panting? SO unbelievable. Not at all sorry he died, period. I'm just sorry the drunken moron girlfriend didn't go too.

I know this thread is old, but I just want to say that you're not alone and I think this is probably one of the worst movies ever made. I blame myself for even considering watching it. Total waste of time.

You're not the only one. I'm 20 minutes in and I'm angry.

Check out the movies I have given a 1 rating too and they were definitely far worse than this. No way was this terrible.
