So sick of the goddamn negativity! Enough already!

Just be happy it turned out decent and not a fucking cashgrab! Stop with the whining and nostalgiatard behavior! You crybabies ALWAYS have to find a reason to bitch and complain about any movie that isn't made by your "pwecious" Marvel! You want a bad sequel, try watching either The Blues Brothers 2000, Dumb & Dumber To, or Hocus Pocus 2!

Its funny because this bitching and whining didn't even exist when the movie hit theaters on the first weekend. People were actually fine with it. That didn't last long. It's like "Wow, this sequel is decent. Nah, just kidding, it sucks!". God, I fucking loathe this pathetic generation of ungratful morons!

reply

I really wanted to love this film and went in expecting the negativity to have been exaggerated. But it was very bad, those dance numbers and the crap about the dad were terrible. I'm grateful it wasn't a cash grab but it is a film I will never watch again, Burton knows better and is a competent storyteller so there was no reason for this mess. Keaton did a good job getting back into character but he was far less edgy as he was back in the day.

reply

That's it! Nobody is allowed to ever fucking get hyped about a goddamn sequel, ever again! I'm so sick of you whiny ass fanbrats being shitty ungratful manbabies who can't even accept change and want EVERYTHING to the exact same thing again or else its "terrible"! It would be better off if you all just kept your fucking mouths shut! Let's also trash talk Top Gun: Maverick, while we're at it. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice wasn't "terrible". Maybe you're all just "terrible" people. Ever thought of that?

You know why you think it's terrible? It has nothing to do with the quality of the film. It's just you people being self entitled nostalgiatards who can't accept the fact it's no longer the 80s. I'm sorry but it hasn't been the 80s in 35 years. Time to move on and be grateful at least a sequel was made in the first place and wasn't made by anyone else, other than Tim Burton.

reply

I liked Top Gun Maverick.

" It's just you people being self entitled nostalgiatards who can't accept the fact it's no longer the 80s."

Dude they poured a million references and call backs to the 80's film and brought back all the characters. Lack of nostalgia was not the problem at all.

They did all the visuals and characters just like they did in the 80s and it worked fine in that department. The singing parts fell flat and seemed like a crappy musical, the plot was messy and characters were looped together just to check a box.

reply

Getting hyped for a sequel to a 36-year-old film is embarrassing behaviour.

reply

People just need to STFU and enjoy the movie for what it is! They also need to stop whining! That doesn't get old fast!

reply

I agree. I really liked it. Plan to buy it on bluray when it comes out.

reply

I'm glad you're not being an ungratful POS who hates everything made after the 90s.

reply

It wasn't horrible and I enjoyed it.

However, it was like a "TV movie" or something on Netflix.

the first film had all kinds of stuff going that was fun and creative. This film looked like it kept some basic sets and actors but didn't put much else in regarding creativity.

For instance, Beetlejuice explaining his origin in Italian was very amusing as was the story about his wife, but her character as not developed at all. He gets married to Winona and that could have developed very humorous, but it wasn't.

It was "good" but pretty hollow at the same time.

reply

Yeah it had problems, but there are worse sequels out there. This one was decent.

reply

I liked it but it could have been more developed and a huge success.

reply

It just needed another year.

reply

That and some help with the writing/plot development.

It had a bunch of great ideas that were like an outline of a quality story.

reply

Yeah, I liked it too but there's a reason why you can't replace the originals. However, I'm really sick of people complaining about nothing being "perfect" to them. In their own twisted mind, if it isn't "perfect", it's automatically "bad". Not "decent" or "meh", just "bad" and that's a very toxic attitude to have. To them, only "perfect" or "bad" exists. That's how entitled they really are.

reply

Shut up, you obnoxious toxic positivity tard. People like you with no standards will guarantee good movies will never get made again.

reply

Tough shit. It's a discussion board. Not a fan site.

reply

Go moan somewhere else! See ya!

reply

I'll moan here thanks. The film was dogshit.

reply

You're dogshit, too and I've decided that dogshit people deserve to be ignored because they don't amount to shit in life!

reply

Either your life's completely empty or you or someone you're related to worked on the film.

It's got be either one of those why people not liking it has caused you to have a mental breakdown.

reply

It was a cash grab

reply

And you're a troll!

reply

those two things aren’t mutually exclusive

reply

Hey if you don't want the negativity tell the filmmaker to make a better film. That fixes it all

reply

It was a decent film, stop whining! You people are the worst and I'm glad you people aren't critics, you don't deserve to be.

Maybe the problem isn't how the film turned out. Maybe the problem is you people and your constant bitching when things don't go your way, you self entitled brats!

reply

It was a descent film. I agree with you. However, that doesn't mean I'm not going to analyze and interpret and critique where I see fit. Way to put everyone who offers up constructive criticism into a vacuum.

That being said there was a lot about this film that needed to be fixed.

You need a nap.

reply

You need to shut up!

reply

Cranky aren't we?

Go to bed.

reply

He does need a nap
