Top Gun 2 mustve helped long belated 80s sequels like BJ2 to get made (and SW:TFA really kicked off the 80s legacy sequel of the modern age) .. now BJ2 will do even more so .. ppl love 80s nostalgia so long as they dont f**k it up (Indy 5, The Flash)

-Goonies 2 (actually is going ahead now set for 2026 or 27)

-Gremlins 3 (this gotta be next after BJ2 as its similar wacky comedy/horror like Ghostbusters which legacy sequels have already been done after the disastrous remake)

-Ferris Buller 2 (unless it already happened on stdvd?)

-Escape From New York 3 (with Kurt)

-Conan III (Arnie must be desperate to do a theatre release movie again)

-Robocop 4 (a legacy sequel to the classic original after the underwhelming remake, ironically with Michael Keaton)

-Aliens '2' (maybe Blomkamps revisionist sequel to Aliens will get re-greenlit in light of Romulus' success)

the big one's -
-ET 2 (maybe thats what Spielbergs UFO movie he working on actually is)

-BTTF 4 (they say nah it'll never happen but everyone know Part IV would clear 1b opening wkend! its gonna happen!)

I wouldn't put it past marvel to do a full on legacy sequel to HTD, with Lea Thompson returning

an Escape from New York "3" already happened years ago with two movies

Ghosts of Mars
and that Guy Pearce movie Lockout.

Both movies have the same characters type like from Escape from New York.

basically both Ghosts of Mars and Lockout are pretty much Escape from New York....In Space

Tron 3 is in the works. Would be interesting to get a new Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th sequel. Surprised that Jaws has never gotten a legacy sequel.

I just checked the imdb of this and seeing Jodie Turner-Smith - the one who played black Anne Boleyn and starred in the recent "successful" The Acolyte, at 1st place in the top cast, I have bad feelings about this movie.

that's in two weeks from now! even though there hasn't been a trailer or any other info so far...
