As an Aussie, I found her accent a bit annoying in the movie. It sounded a bit too English to me. But I'm glad they made the character Australian, if the actress is- it makes no sense putting on a fake accent, if the character didn't need to be American for plot purposes.

I find it amazing in every movie with a character having a different accent there is a giant imdb thread arguing the pros and cons of that accent

Even as an australian myself i still thought it was unnatural a bit over the top. Certain people's voices are annoying. Just like those girls from the hills and kardashians, i know its their real accents but all their voices sound like nails on a chalkboard.

Well that's what she's born with. Just because you don't like Australian accents doesn't mean we don't. Her accent is lovely.
