Why should she have to fake an American accent just to please American audiences? Y'know there is a world outside of the ole U.S of A. You get a lot of British actors doing it as well and it really pisses me off. Personally I find an American twang the most irritating accent of all. Maybe it's an English thing but I found her accent incredibly sexy as well. She's got to be one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood right now. Remember seeing her in X Men Origins in her lingerie. Oh baby...

Well.. that is part of the joke.... We all know she's from the SE part, so its a big of intentional tongue-in-cheek humor to be doing a bad accent from the North, pretending she's from the South. The thing is, she didn't do it very well, so the joke lost some steam.
