The Revenant or Apocalypto?

Finally watched The Revenant. I went into it with monster expectations. I thought it was good, definitely not great. I really thought Apocalypto was a better movie overall. Agree or disagree?

I think Apocalypto by far is a superior film; there are several arcs in that film compare to the Revenant. I think the Revenant had a good start; it felt like an art film at times and then it became kind of tedious and unrealistic; by the time it was reaching the end I had already lost interest in the story because it became predictable.

Both are masterpieces. I prefer The Revenant over Apocalypto, though.

Apocalypto by far, Mel Gibson needs to give up on trying to achieve a acting come back and just concentrate on directing.

I second the comment that Gibson needs to return to directing. His attention to detail was gorgeous in its visceral presentation.
