Did anyone over 30 like this movie ?

Did anyone that has seen this that was over 30 years old like this movie ? I just picked 30 years old because by then you should be mature enough to know what is funny and if it has humor and/or just childish non-policital correctness to it. Just wondering.

35, I loved the movie and I found the humor in it witty and sharp.

Also, it's very annoying that this site doesn't give any separation whatsoever from signatures.

Sorry but my Ego is constantly telling me to write this or it will kill my Self-esteem once he has his way with her, i'm under lots of pressure so here i go:

It didn't make me "LOL", but nevertheless a somewhat decent film. This movie was not as good as SBC's earlier performances but it still kept that "Political-Correctness + Comedy = Does not compute"-feel that most of us Europeans have learned to love and laugh at. It's very interesting how this particular humour does in the American audience compared to the European/Brittish one.

What made SBC famous was just that ability; to take a "serious matter" and turn it into a ridiculous and stupid subject, often infront of people who are "Politically correct" and often easily "offended" (i.e. Angry) when they're the centre of the joke.

I will state that i'm not the greatest film-lover and [hipster]haven't probably seen...[/hipster] all the comedies American cinema has to offer, but from what mainstream American comedy has to offer -it is indeed verry "gentle" (as someone stated before..) and therefore completely boring and unfunny because it doesn't really challenge the limmits of comedy. What i often see in mainstream American comedy-masterpeices is physical comedy, sex-jokes, filtered verbal jokes and not so much more.

I knew i would see this kind of "Not funny"-topic here because an equal topic exists for alot of politically correct comedies by hollywood that never really "made it through" in Europe. Without generalizing to much i could safetly assume that the general consensus of what "comedy" is varies alot between continents. For example; Americans would never think about making fun of, say, Native Americans or American Patriotism because it would have an incredible impact on Hollywood via "I R Offendid, and 30 years old"-spam mail, and hipster kamikazees lining up to protect what is Right. With the exception of South Park and a few other Pol. Inc. series that has shown incredible balls (and taken the consequences like grownups).

//Cheers!
Yours cincerely; A Politicaly Incorrect European 33 year old who "judges" a person based on his actions rather than his verbal *beep*.

I'm 32, and do not usually like these type of movies, but this was hilarious to me. I don't think age and maturity in movies have anything to do with anything. Movies are funny or not, regardless of your age.

Over 30 and I dislike Sacha Baron Cohen's movies and his style and ridiculousness.

I understand several people like him but I don't.

However, I did like The Dictator. It was politically incorrect, racist but had some genuine funny parts. I liked the movie overall for its humor and the fact that it didn't take regular people and turn them into cherry-picked idiots. I preferred the movie actor version of funny instead of real life funny.

Yes. I'm over 30 and I liked this movie.

I'm 30 and got something out of it...wasn't the best but it had it's moments which made it a worthwhile watch. I suppose in another year I'll grow to hate it as you do.
