Who else enjoyed the first offering?

I'm sick of reading all the negative comments from the Clarkson Fan Club, so who else enjoyed it? Come on, don't be shy.

It wasn't perfect. Chris needs to calm down. Matt needs to sort himself out in his to camera pieces. We need more Sabine. We need to see the other new faces. We need to get past the understandable digs at the old lot.

The new celebrity lap was a nice improvement. Not having Clarkson and Hammond was the obvious plus. The new studio looked great.

Anyway, early days, the rapport needs time to develop, and I'm sure it will.

"Gizza job! I can do that!"

I didn't watch the episode. What I saw reminded me of 'Top Gear Australia' and 'Top Gear USA' trying to be 'Top Gear' but failing.

It's not 'Top Gear', it's a new show, perhaps it's 'Top Gear UK'.

We'll see.

Agree with all , except the American accent , his is not much of an accent . Now some of the British accents , they are hard to understand at times , I'd rate them the same as a deep south American accent , very hard to understand what is being said . Of course I'm Canadian , we have no accent .:-)

TG was ok last night. Then again I have watched the programme since the late 1970s and realised that the May, Hammond, Clarkson trio were running out of steam. Lets be honest when your bosses give you a final public warning, you are living on borrowed time and Clarkson fans should had realised this.

The new TG team require a few tweaks, Evans needs to tone it down and we still have not seen the other presenters yet. Matt was good and the filmed stuff was enjoyable.

It's that man again!!

This is exactly what I intended to reply, so instead of repeating you I will simply say "you are correct, sir!"

I really enjoyed it. Evans is not my cup of tea but Leblanc was awesome and I was generally very satisfied. In time it will have even more flow and rhythm.

TOP GEAR LIGHT , good effort , but not going to make it . Chris tries to had to be PC Clarkson , just does not work . Get some new schtick , don't try to be the 3 boobs light .

PC Clarkson? Was he in The Bill?

'PC Clarkson? Was he in The Bill?'

If only Evans hit someone and made derogatory remarks about Irish people and he would had doubled the ratings 😉

It was alright. Chris is a bit hyper and I don't feel the chemistry between him and Matt. The Top Gun-segment was, in my opinion, already boring with the old TG-crew - so nothing new there. Thoroughly enjoyed the obvious UK vs Usa-bit! I prefer Matt to Chris when it comes to the car-tests. Hopefully Sabine will feature more in coming shows, she's awesome! The new addition of a rallycross-track was awesome.

Final word on the premier-show: Fair.

First time ever posting on this board. Wanted to see what people thought after the season premiere. I was expecting a lot of negativity and I was right.

I thought the first episode was fine. Hard to judge one episode against multiple seasons with the other guys.

I enjoyed Clarkson/Hammond/May as much as anyone but people are being really biased. When I heard of the incident I didn't know Clarkson had been in other "trouble" before. It kinda damaged my view of him...I don't know just disappointing.

Although I never watched the show consistently. I only watched if there was a good challenge or they were reviewing cars I liked.

Your right to an opinion does not equal an opinion that is right

I must admit like almost everybody else I was skeptical, but it was not nearly as bad as I'd been fearing, so I will give it a season - just so the boys can get their own legs -and then let's see.

- I know it will never be like the old show, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. These guys have to find their own style, their own mojo so to speak, and maybe they can pull it of.

I enjoyed it. Christ there are a ton of people who don't know how a topic of discussion works.
