Your Age In 1999?

When the original BWP came out in 1999, how old were you and what do you remember if anything from that time?

I was 12 in 1999 and remember the huge hype and hoopla around the original. I wasn't an internet user at the time but can remember the trailers and previews on TV and people raving about it and remember when the old Sci-FI Channel had their documentary specials. I remember when I finally saw it on cable later that year thinking it was lame. I rewatched it earlier for the first time since then months ago (I'm now 29) and I find it a pretty meh movie overall though I do like the lore and backstory of the Blair Witch.

I was 8 that year. I don't remember much about it, around the time it was released. I do remember the first time I watched it, years later, my older sister showed me it when I was around 13 or 14. It freaked me right out!

Spoiler alert!
The only thing that made me feel sick in the stomach when I first watched, was the part when they found some of that guy's remains.

I was 24 and living in Maryland. It was great. After watching the movie, a couple of friends and I went out and spent a couple of hours in the woods drinking beers. I was legitimately petrified.

I was 20 when the original came out and did the same?

I lived near some woods and a few of us went out after watching it and got pretty wasted, It was fun now looking back at it but at the time it was scary as hell!

I loved the first film and remember all the internet hype about it, at the time it was new and unheard of to do that kind of marketing for a film, I haven't seen the new film yet but I'm watching it tonight.

I was 14, and I was convinced I was watching a snuff movie. It was terrifying.

We thought we lost you. Welcome back.

I was 17 and I saw it on opening night. No movie aside from The Exorcist and Paranormal Activity scared me like TBWP did.

Utah! Get me two.
