Zendaya's not gonna like what happens to Chani in "Children of Dune"

I hope the little feminist Californian's up for becoming a useless concubine that's bored because she's not allowed to go into combat anymore, gets poisoned by Princess Irulan (the princess was forced to do so by the Bene Gesserits who were working to sabotage the new emperor's rule), her metabolism shoots through the roof, she gives birth to two fraternal twin children (they are Paul's) who are Awakened just like Alia, and she dies. Only time she'll come back is probably through figurative, symbolic scenes where the kids are using her personality to keep the other ones at bay inside their heads.

Don't believe me? Read the novel, the Dune Encyclopedia entry on Chani, or watch that horrible "Children of Dune" miniseries sci-fi channel made a few years ago.

Makes sense. They already changed this film because of how demanding Zendaya and her agents were before, can't imagine they won't make it any dumber in the 3rd movie.

It's not that Meme actor would have a much better destiny. Their story ends, so they can move on. All hail to Shai-Hulud!

I chuckle when they talk about making more Dune movies. Nobody is gonna like them stories. Most Dune fans don't even like them books.

Someone was quoted as saying that Frank Herbert made one amazing book, and then spent the rest of his writing career failing to figure out how to maintain that success. I sometimes wonder how high he was on drugs with some of his writing.

Herbert has lots of great books. They just ain't Dune books. Dune is what made money.

Based upon the massive changes they made to Chani in Dune part 2, there is no way of telling what they will do to her in Dune Messiah. She might not have the same ending.

You know that they will just change book to let Hollywood Princess Zendaya shine as Strong Independent Woman.

And her accepting role of "useless concubine" is gonna be her Master Plan to Spy on everything and fight within organization or something. Or she will not even be one. She will stay in desert with her people, having Important Fights.
