Is there still someone out of there making movies for men?
It looks like another female messiah movie, I am not saying they shouldn't be made, but there seems to be way too many of them lately.

shareJust watched the last Mission Impossible few days ago. Quite good.
And the Expand4bles now. Quite bad.
But yeah, they still do. And it looks like Rebel Moon has a lot of male actors as well so it might not be as bad.
"And it looks like Rebel Moon has a lot of male actors as well so it might not be as bad."
Ok, I know that asom didn't really mean it like that.
But that line made my day. 🤣
They can be done well, it’s not a female messiah flick but You’re Next is a bitchin non woke movie with a kick ass type female lead.
I’ll give Snyder the benefit of the doubt on this one, he’s a talented director, imo, I’m also a fan of his filming aesthetics, so I’m rooting for Rebel Moon.
I'll withhold judgement on Rebel Moon but Army of the Dead was pretty bad. It might have had some decent visuals but they don't carry the film. I think it's relevant to bring up bc they're both Netflix productions where Zack has a lot of freedom/control. I think he squandered this freedom with AotD.
shareNetshitz!🤮🤮🤮
The service produces NOTHING but crap, and dumb kids keep slurping it up.
Lots of them. No need to be whiny baby. It's pathetic, really. Makes you look like you live in moms basement.
Here is something for you from this year:
Tom Cruise movies,
Flash,
Aquaman 2,
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3,
Oppenheimer,
Avatar: The Way of Water,
John Wick: Chapter 4, Sound of Freedom,
Transformers: Rise of the,
Creed III,
Fast X,
Five Nights at Freddy’s,
Dungeons & Dragons,
The Equalizer 3,
Meg 2: The Trench,
Blue Beetle,
Napoleon,
Shazam! Fury of the Gods,
The Creator,
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant.
And on and on.
When you look at all the movies released and how many of them have men in lead roles then it's like 90% of them. But still we see man-boys, who live in moms basement and whine about: "Where are movies for men? Whay-whah". It's so pathetic and actually funny.
So, from that sad pathetic list, only Tom Cruise is making GOOD movies for men.
shareHis list was bogus, for example Dungeons & Dragons was clearly made for women, men were weak and small (literally) in it: https://moviechat.org/tt2906216/Dungeons-and-Dragons-Honor-Among-Thieves/64532e2ba0a8084fcef7f298/Powerful-female-warriors-and-weak-clumsy-domestic-men
Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle, really? They are not made for men.
But his reply was not genuine, it is personal, I think it is to get back at me when I pointed out that he was a bot/shill: https://moviechat.org/nm1907769/Elon-Musk/6583940b3b174127d6296bcc/EU-To-Permanently-Shut-Down-X-If-Musk-Doesnt-Ban-Alternative-Media?reply=65858dfbec4ad64ab5ec3b74
😂
shareWhaaat? LOL. I don't pay attention to names of people I answer to.
I didn't watched most of those movies. Just looked at which ones had male actors as leads. Because author obviously had problem with woman being lead.
I honestly don't understand what you mean by "movies for men". What do you want in those movies?
You made very rude comments to attack me personally, and listed movies you did not watch.
But of course that was not personal.
You should learn to lie better.
Or are you really just that much an A hole?
LOL. You think too much of yourself and your importance. I don't think about you at all.
share"Men in lead roles" is not necessarily the same as "movies for men". Besides, a lot of the stuff on your list is comic book/video game type crap. The guy asked about movies for men, not boys.
shareNo. No one makes movies for men anymore. All 500 movies released every year are made by women, about women and for women.
shareWhat sort of movie do you want?
One of those homoerotic 80s action flicks with a bunch of roided up men flexing their oiled up muscles? Have a long deep think about why you prefer watching muscular men instead of beautiful women. Give it some thought over the next few days pal.
Movies not belittling men, like in new Dungeons & Dragons, surely that is not too much to ask.
Following was my comment of that movie, if you read it you would understand what I meant: https://moviechat.org/tt2906216/Dungeons-and-Dragons-Honor-Among-Thieves/64532e2ba0a8084fcef7f298/Powerful-female-warriors-and-weak-clumsy-domestic-men
Think about it, is there any man in this movie not dumb, weak or mean?
WE THOUGHT ABOUT IT...dumb, weak or meaN APPLIES...JUST NOT TO THE MOVIE.
shareI'm against pandering to ideology in films. Movies shouldn't just be be made for men, women, black, white, gay, straight, roght, left, or anything else in between.
Movies just need a good set of characters who have relatable perspectives the Audience can understand. Pretty woman is a chick flick. But, everyone can get behind Vivian because we relate to her character and understand her point of view. Same Goes with Baby in Dirty Dancing.
Now pull on over to Red Dawn and you have a guys film with characters who make sense to the whole audience.
Good character goes much further than demographics.
BTW, Snyder movies have very light characters who do a lot of dumb things for the visually cool plot. This is why he's a mixed bag as a director.
But these days most movies are "agenda driven", that was not me saying it. That is basically the consensus.
Because Disney CEO even publicly knowledged it and promised not making "agenda driven" movies anymore, but of course nobody believes him.
THE CONSENSUS IS A BUNCH OF LOUD BITCHING MAN BABIES ON THE INTERNET.
THAT SECOND PART IS JUST FALSE.
It is in the news, well, reuters anyway: https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/disney-ceo-says-company-will-quiet-noise-culture-wars-analyst-2023-09-20/
“Our primary mission needs to be to entertain ... and to have a positive impact on the world,” Iger said at the time. “I’m very serious about that. It should not be agenda-driven."
THAT QUOTE DOES NOT MATCH UP TO YOUR ASSERTIONS.
shareI think it was obvious that I was paraphrasing, the meaning of his words was very apparent, and clearly corresponding to what I said.
Or are you looking for the exact words? The extra hyphen is just not going to cut it?
INTENTIONAL MISREADING IS AWKWARD AND SHAMEFUL...DO BETTER.
shareHow did I misread? The full quotes are:
At the time, Iger was responding to an investor who said the company was becoming too concerned with social issues.
“Our primary mission needs to be to entertain ... and to have a positive impact on the world,” Iger said at the time. “I’m very serious about that. It should not be agenda-driven."
OUR PRIMARY MISSION NEEDS TO BE TO CHAT ABOUT MOVIES...AND TO HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE WORLD...I'M VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THAT...IT SHOULD NOT BE AGENDA-DRIVEN
I NEVER SAID THAT IT WAS OR HAS EVER BEEN AGENDA-DRIVEN...I SIMPLY SAID IT SHOULD NOT BE...YOU ARE READING WORDS THAT AREN'T THERE...IGER SAID JACK SHIT.
Snyder I think has Jewish heritage so I think that is one of the reasons this movie has a heavy Nazi theme, even Kryptonians in his DC superman related movies kind of feel like that.
That part might not be that relatable to most people.
