i'm planning on seeing it tonight and i'm wondering about the bad reviews. i really love the cast and i'm usually a fan of these types comedies although sometimes they can be a hit or miss. can anyone who's seen it give me their opinion? no spoilers please.

Um, if you want to hear them make fun of disabilities! To me, that is just not right.

Good Lord but I'm starting to feel like the grinch around here but I have to say that I hated this movie.

3/10

I found just about every character to be unrelatable and genuinely unlikable. I didn't find much funny at all. Not poo in the mouth or CGI child abuse or Reynolds pleasuring himself or sex crazed pregnant women or most of the stuff they threw at the screen.

This was an absolute “make faces at the screen” disaster early and not funny in the least to me. Somehow it rises out of the 0/10 category range and finds some heart and interest as both leads learn their predictable lessons. The complete douchebag character grows up a bit and the whipped family man learns to relax. Somehow, if the viewer hasn't walked out on the film by then, you care just enough to see how it plays out. At least I did and about halfway through I didn't think I would be around for the entire running time.

Correct. One of the things that bugged me was how bad the writing was. I mean anyone could pretend to be anyone else for a few days and mostly pull it off. But these two, once they switched bodies, never even tried to act like the other person. The theoretical humor came from each guy just plopped into the other guy's life and not even pretending to be the other guy.

Yeah, that about covers it. It is just barely interesting enough to wait and see what happens. But just barely.

I thought that Ryan and Jason were great. They work well together. I actually watched part of the movie through my hands...SO much the cringe movie. A bit too much swearing for my liking.

I liked the movie, but it isn't going to be chalked up there as one of my favourites. I'd rather watch Bridesmaids again.

It's like looking into an obnoxious little mirror, isn't it?

I went to see it, expecting a barely entertaining two-hour distraction that might make me half-chuckle once or twice...

I was disappointed....

it was so much worse than I expected. I haven't walked out of a movie in 20 years... I had to tonight, it was so awful. I left when the porno scene was being filmed. I couldn't take anymore crudeness... it was right up there with Bruno and I'm surprised I sat through all of that it was so awful as well.

I actually really enjoyed this movie. granted it was quite raunchy but it also had some heart-felt moments as well. it had a lot of funny parts as well. its a light-hearted adult comedy that is easy to sit back and watch.

That's almost exactly what I wrote earlier. It has its moments of disgust, so turn your head if it bothers you. Overall, it is a good comedy with heart-felt moments and messages about life.

This movie is funny, there is some over the top/bathroom humor but most of the jokes hit. The real comedy is Bateman and Reynolds playing against type once they do the body switch.

Horrible Bosses was really half assed, I don't understand how anybody could think that was funnier than The Change Up. Half of the jokes in Horrible Bosses seem to revolve around the F word or somebody screaming out the F word, movie just wasn't that funny.

I might have liked it a little if I didn't want so badly to tie a rope around Mitch's neck (Ryan Reynolds character) and rag him down a BLVD behind my car. What an obnoxious SOB!!!! And the way he talked to those kids he should have been flogged in public. If we did that we would be arrested for child abuse. But I guess those jackasses can get away with it in the movies.
