To all the bitchers and moaners - look at it this way...(mild spoiler -but I think we knew it was going to happen)..

Yes, there is something off in this new series, but instead of bitching and moaning and crying about stupid things, try sitting back and enjoying all of the great character actors that have been brought into this show in one place.

I'm not going to list them all, but being a bit older than most likely the median age of people here, I'm enjoying all these actors chewing up the dialog and being in the same place together with the knowledge that things like this don't come around every day.

And for those that keep bitching about the romantic angle -get over it. Jesus. If you can't actually see the chemistry between these two then give it a rest (though, I don't agree with them turning Raylan into some man that gets all puppy-dog-eyed and clingy like a horny teenager - though, recall, he does have a habit of bedding down ladies he shouldn't be - i.e., Ava in the first episode of Season 1).

Ah, Vondi Curtis-Hall, Keith David (though, sadly, he wasn't in more episodes), Paul Calderon, Victor Williams, and even Boyd Holbrook - though it seems he is headed down the typecast role of always being a villain.

Even some of the guest roles are enjoyable to watch.

Holbrook just starred as The Fugitive, maybe he's still got a leading man future?
i almost forgot Keith D. was in the 1st EP, and Paul C. just showed up for 2min in this last EP,
Vondi CH. is the only one who's really shining of that bunch, in addition to Holbrook

Terry Kinney as the Albanian mob boss was a fun surprise. He mostly pulled it off, but seemed to kind of be channeling John Malkovich in "Rounders".

Nothing worse than someone bitching about others bitching. Dude are you a writer on this show or something? lol cause you seem to be really butt hurt about people making complaints.

Sorry but the show sucks, the story is boring, the characters are boring, the love angle is forced, nothing is happening, there was literally a scene of Raylan's daughter wondering the city and going to an abandoned warehouse kicking stones for half the episode and it meant nothing. The writing is just bad and its a shame cause i loved Justified.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it even with the flaws. We're lucky we got this series. I hope we get another season but with the 2 strikes going on there's no chance of it happening.

The last episode had me asking if Raylan will end up shooting Mansel in cold blood like the former cop he met at the bar. Circumstances led a noble and good Carolyn to "break bad" and use the judges book for I'm assuming a corrupt purpose. Will Raylan parallel this? Could he live with it like the former cop does without issue?

I like this a lot. I’ve decided to wait until all episodes are released as watching it this way just leaves you wanting the next episode. But it is a limited series. So, does that mean we’re in for a big big surprise in the finale? I’m glad he’s out of the Holler and in Detroit. I’m kind of glad the daughter went back home.

I thought the daughter did a decent job. I like how they casted Timmy O's real daughter. Best part was seeing how Raylan reacted to her being threatened. Also showed that Clement could take one hell of a beating.

This is the only problem I have with the series - is the daughter element. I like his real life daughter - but in this? They have the same sweet smile, soft voice, and likability. I just have a real problem with what to do with with fathers/daughters (gfs/bfs wives/husbands) or females who keep saying - “We never talk.” “You’re never here.” I just hate it in a story.

The fact that she puts her life in danger by walking through the streets and alleys of Detroit and knowing that Mansell, straight out of a character in Forensic Files, has noticed her in the hotel lobby and then the audience knows that he noticed her - making her a target - it’s reckless and realistic. It become a sub-story. It makes me anxious and also Raylan is smarter than that. Keeping his daughter around while he’s after Mansell. Telling a teenager to stay in their room makes no sense to me. If the daughter is to be in it, make her a Veronica Mars character who is about the same age - where’s she smart, she’s a detective in her own right and realizes her surroundings. That they relate on the same level.

He’s a US marshal, he’s dealing with really bad people. Of course, there was nothing worse than Brody’s daughter in Homeland. So thank god for that - that they got Raylan’s daughter out of the picture because she’s making me not want to watch it.

I don't think the timeline would allow for Raylan's daughter to be a working adult. This show takes place 15 yrs after Justified. The wiki says she's 15 years old during the time of Primeval (which was slightly retconned from the original show. She wouldn't be older than 20 if it was 15 yrs past the time we saw her last as a young child).

Unwise to walk alone in Detroit but give her some credit that she might have her father's instincts for danger and some natural street smarts. She hustled that street vendor. I don't know Detroit but I know other cities and walking around during the day is very different than exploring at night. Sometimes abandoned factories are just that, not all of them are havens for drug addicts and criminals even though they are usually portrayed in media as such.

Clement Mansel is a kind of evil and cunning she had never experienced, had no frame of reference. He manipulated her by claiming to know his dad and telling stories about him which is the kind of info she craves. She wants to be closer to her father and know his history.
Maybe Raylan should have specifically said "I'll never send someone to come get you, only leave the room if you hear from me." But perhaps he didn't want to scare her or expose her to the scariness of his world. Or maybe he just never foresaw anyone being crazy enough to do what Mansel did. It all works for me. Teenage daughters can be bitchy, this was normal behavior.

I look forward to the rest of this series. For me, there was too much of the daughter. Not because she was a teenager but because of their interaction. And because she could be a victim. I don’t know if it is the way her part was written or how it’s being played, but it is the weakest part. I was glad he got her out of there. And I wished it could have been sooner.

Maybe they could have done in 1 ep what they did with 3 with her. It made sense him sending her home when he did. If we didn't have her in the show we might not have seen Raylan's expression when Clement sat next to Willa. That transition from him going along with it to pure rage was excellent.

What can I say. That is a great scene. With Mansell crossing the most sacred of lines. Priceless. Classic Raylan. Someone else can figure out why the series is better wo the daughter. Because it is. Much better.

Btw. Veronica Mars was a junior in high school.
