yet another alt right "anti woke" cry baby grifter

who has to insert his idiotic political views into movie reviews

reply

I've never heard him express political views in his reviews

reply

Ok, robot.

reply

Does it bother you? Are you annoyed? Good. That's how we feel every time wokeness is shoved in our face.
Do you want it to stop? Do you want it to go away? Then stop producing woke garbage and we will stop complaining. Simple as that. Of course, you are going to have to pay for all the damage you've done to our culture. You're going to be cast out into the wilderness for a decade or two. You deserve this.

reply

Except plenty of 'woke' shows and films are highly acclaimed by audiences, as you've admitted. So what's the "damage" there?

reply

What's up pest?
Yous a whole bitch!

reply

But he sure is handsome and well spoken and, ummmm, oh yea, a published author too!

reply

Free speech baby!! I don't always agree with the Drinker but I don't think he should be cancelled either. Overall I enjoy his reviews.

Don't like it? There are plenty of other channels on YT.

reply

Nothing tells the world you're an unthinking NPC like calling someone you don't agree with a grifter.

reply

Okay grifter.

Wait, what just happened?

reply

true of course. but hilarilously few people point it out enough: he's a failed author as well. millions of subscribers yet none of them offer to buy the 💩 books he writes

people are there to hear their cultural-political viewpoints reinforced, and he gives the people what they want. can't fault him for that. of course when he has things to recommend, or positive things to say, few of his own people actually care. hey they may be desperate to feel seen and represented, but not that desperate 🤭

reply

How do you know they don't care when he has something to recommend? Where are you getting this information?

reply

he gives the people what they want. can't fault him for that.

I can.
Whilst I'm not saying I wouldnt do the same if it was gonna make me rich , perpetuating and fueling these shitty views of mysogeny and xenophobia is a shitty thing to do.

reply

He inserts them only where the movie/show he reviews is obviously pushing an agenda. Most of his reviews of late deal with Disney products (Marvel, Star Wars etc), so lately it's hard to find a review that isn't a push back. But the truth of his reviews shows in the ratings, which, basically, makes him the voice of the general audience.

reply

Why does he fell the need to reviews Disney and Marvel anyway?

He acts like they are his only source of entertainment and he's due something from them for the taxes he pays or something.

reply

Because big companies like Disney influence general culture. Kids watch it.

reply

And what is Disney culture, as trite as it is supposedly influencing kids to do?

reply

It is "princess culture". It always was, but it has gone to it's extreme. It was always: "Here's a great gal, and here's her equally awesome guy" and vice versa. Simba and Nala, Aladdin and Jasmine, Ariel and Eric, Mulan and Shang, Pocahontas and John, Belle and Beast...
Now it's: "Here's a perfect, infallible gal, and there just might be a fumbling fool she just might, or might not like". Which, then, went further into: "Here's the amazing hero we all love and admire, but he's actually a fumbling fool, who needs a perfect and infallible heroine to save him." Ray and Kylo/Finn, Captain Marvel and Nick Fury, Indiana Jones and Helena, Peter Pan and Wendy (the new one), Thor and Jane/Valkyrie, Mulan and Honghui

reply

Jesus. Do you seriously believe that shit?

When the fuck did Rey save Kylo? You guys have to fucking completely make shit up in order to perpetuate your paranoid fantasies about culture being taken away from you.

Rey was so perfect she needed Kylo's mom's intervention to enable her to impale him. And then later on, it's Ben who gives his own life in order to save hers.

reply

You must be fucking high if you think that TCD is doing it because he's concerned about the general culture and what kids watch.
